This reminds me of Nick Cave's duets, who cares even less about singing in tune 🙂 It's such a beautiful metaphor, the couple suddenly singing in different languages, not understanding each other any more, before they "kill" each other and set flames to the relationship.

This song uses French words to sing a German song in the sense of telling more truths than you like to hear about relationships. "SInging sweet nothings into lovers ears" is not the German way. Because it's hiding the truth. The darkness is camouflaged here by the appearance of Till in bright colors, French words, but in the end he switches to German and Darkness.

I fell in love with this song and had a 3 day banger with this just in loop for 3 days, Its so beautiful how the french and the german mix so well, plus both the singers do an amazing job. Plus I love the little detail of a couple starting singing in french, such a romantic language and so pure and as the relationship goes, he drifts far and he starts singing in german, a much abrupt and rough language and it ends in such a sad idea of two lovers leaving to the sunset in different boats.

I really don't understand why French should be a romantic language. For me it sounds like someone is choking on a frog leg. Italian is way more melodic and beneficial for the ears with the word endings on a vowel. I have to disagree again because German isn't so abrupt or rough, only when you do it occasionally like Till does. Have you ever had a talk with a German in German? I bet not.

Have you ever seen a "normal" clip or track from Rammsrein?? Just one time? I'll tell you - no, you haven't seen it. They (Rammstein) don't have normal (normal, ehehehe) songs. All of them are different from the "normal" forms that we hear every day on TV, Radio, Internet. And that's how lucky we are that there are bands that present such a genre of music to us. And still for me it will remain a very "commercial" band. 🤣🤣🤣 It's nothing, I appreciate them so much ❤

My interpretation of the video- I thought Till was some non-human thing found by this woman in the ground. Then the story played out which went down hill between them. And when it went back to him in the ground, I thought that stuff of them it showed was just something she had thought up would happen if she "rescued" him, so decided to leave him in the ground and save herself the heartache or whatever that could potentially happen. There's always a lot of symbolism and metaphors so nothing is straightforward. Maybe as a metaphor for going back to bad relationships or just to show people who are scared of getting close to people for fear of it not working out
