hi kenna 💗 thank you for being vulnerable and sharing with us your experience as a new transfer student to your new school. I know the feeling of not being able to connect w/ others right away and it took me awhile to friend genuine friends. What helped me was to join clubs and orgs that I found interesting since that’s something that I would already have commonality w/ others. Going to campus events was also a fun way to meet others or just find things that you might want to be a part of. Just like anything else, if you want something to last it might take awhile, but you’re doing great and I know you’ll make genuine friends too!

I feel the same about making friends I have social anxiety too my mind literally goes blank but I made 4 friends my first month back I recommend you take advantage of the first week and sit next to someone who looks approachable and just make conversation about the class and then the next class sit with someone else by the end you’ll have a few people you know ◡̈

Don’t worry too much if you’re not meeting many ppl rn. Campus is so empty and there’s not a lot going on during summer session but there’s SO many more students when fall quarter starts. And ppl r really open to meeting new ppl then. I go to a different UC but UCSB has very similar vibes. You got this girl 🫶

OK sis here’s a tip use acetone because that’s what is used to takeoff nail glue don’t use soap and olive oil because that’s not going to soak it off and you’re gonna end up damaging your natural nails. You can find acetone at any beauty supply store. I love your Vlog. keep up the good work.

One thing I loved doing when I was at UCSB was doing some of my studying while sitting outside on campus. Genuinely wish I had done it even more. I was a transfer student as well, don't be afraid to just get involved in anything that appeals to you. The time goes by really quickly! I know the anxiety can make it easy to talk yourself out of stuff but most regrets will be about the opportunities you didn't grab rather than the things you did.

hi kenna ! i never post comments, but I could relate to what you were saying about making friends in a new city. i just moved 2,000 miles away from home to go to university and i had the unrealistic expectations of making friends day one, having a good groups of girls, and simply having a great experience. however this wasn’t how my first couple weeks went… i continued putting myself out there and consistently felt rejected and wondered what was going wrong. this week i met up with a girl to finish an assignment and we hit it off and i met her friends, it was such a good experience to find “my people”. essentially, my point is, that sometimes good things come to those who wait, which is cliche, but if you just keep putting yourself out there and doing what youre doing you will definitely make friends!!! don’t get upset if things don’t work out at first just keep truckin 💪💪💪

Hey Kenna, how's everything going? I just wanted to tell you that you're not alone, and share my experience. My college started a few months ago in june and the first week was absolutely dreadful i was not having the time of my life and all my expectations were just turned down and it was quite dissapointing but i kept telling myself to give myself more time and everything would be okay, and as expected, after about 2-3 months everything normal, which im grateful for. **So i know you know this but just reminding you to give yourself time and everything will be alright**
