"This ain't the world I grew up in"... facts Mesus that line hit me hard. I was born in the mid 80's and I was just telling my kids the other day growing up running the streets back in the 90's early 2000's you didn't have to really worry about coming in when it got dark in my neighborhood. Now is a different story, I wouldn't dare be caught outside after dark where I grew up running the streets bc of the shootings, drugs, gangs, etc. it's nothing like when I was growing up. So much has changed it's sad and very scary at the same time. I told them I wish they could experience growing up when I did like I did, I know they would love it....nothing like being an 80's baby and growing up in the 90's-2000's....these other generations ain't got nothin on us....lol....we had it made! Best of the best of everything.... period. Thank you fellas for another great song for the fans, another banger for my playlist. I PRAY THAT GOD BLESSES YOU BOTH, THAT HE KEEPS BOTH OF YOU SAFE ALWAYS AND THAT HE HAS HIS ANGELS CAMP AROUND YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES STANDING GUARD READY TO FIGHT AGAINST ANY EVIL THAT TRIES TO COME AGAINST YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS...AMEN. LOVE YOUR SISTER IN CHRIST.
@jbarrett22272 жыл бұрын
Not sure where you lived and hopefully your kids don’t fact check you but the 80’s and 90’s were the worst crime rates by nearly every metric in America’s history. While I agree things are far from great right now they aren’t nearly as bad crime wise as the 80’s and 90’s. Crime has significantly dropped year after year since then and maybe we got more intelligent as parents and keep our kids in at night but us running around at night as kids back then was more dangerous than it is today. I have great memories running around as a kid back then but I know my kid is definitely safer in America today then I was back then.
@Justin128332 жыл бұрын
@@jbarrett2227 I call bs it is not safer now.
@keshacook27542 жыл бұрын
I live in Roanoke, Virginia and I have to disagree. Yes there has and will always be crime any and every where but when I was growing up in my city it was much safer people looked out for one another, but now-a- days you got people killing each other over nothing tbh petty stuff i.e. drugs ,money, etc. yes it happened back when I was growing up to but not as often as it is now. When you watch the news all you hear about now is this little girl/boy is missing, this man/woman has been found shot/stabbed to death, it's nothing but death everywhere and it's sad that people are taking the lives of others for reasons that are inexcusable IMO. No one person on this earth has the right or authority to take a life and play God as far as I'm concerned, but you know it's like this I don't have to answer for what everyone else does on this earth, each and every one of us will answer for our own sins when we stand before God on judgement day. Then we'll all receive one of the two possible outcomes...1. we'll burn in hell and suffer eternal separation from the Lord for all eternity, or 2. our names will be in the lambs book of life and we'll walk through the pearly gates onto streets of gold into heaven and know nothing but love and joy for an eternity with the Lord our father. Sounds so good....I just want everyone to be ready especially my loved ones, but even those that I do not know I want them to be ready to. So question is if it all ended right now and judgement came and it came time for you to ask,"Is my name in the Lambs Book of Life?", What do you think the answer would be? Just food for thought. GOD BLESS! And Thank You for leaving your comment and not being like most ppl would rude and cussing. This is how the comments should be having simple back and forth replies/discussions like grown folks...lol. ttyl.
