Great effort mate. I have the same phone since February, but unfortunately I haven't been enjoying the battery experience, it drains a lot despite having the light mode performance enabled, 5G disabled, and having most of the apps in deep sleep. I feel like I have a faulty version of the phone and the battery keeps me anxious all the time, especially when seeing most of the reviewers have an average of 8 hours screen-on-time, while I barely get 4-5 SOT with a really minimal usage.

S24 ultra is definitely the best android phone to buy, very reliable and easy to use, and that's what most people want. But I really would like to see Samsung come up with something new or maybe a refresh to the design, just to make it feel like you're getting the new and improved phone, not just a minor upgrade from the same looking old one.
@johnszatkowski68986 ай бұрын
There has been NO innovation in a LONG time so NOW the latest "gimmick" is AI and Samsung will CHARGE you for this after 2025! AND AI is NOT the real "game-changer" that everyone is boasting! These HIGH priced phones NO longer have SD storage OR a simple headphone jack so "they" can SELL you MORE products and make BILLIONS in profits because "people" think they "need" all this CRAP they'll never use in the first place.
@namedkenn6 ай бұрын
Appreciate you stopping by man! It really is a tried and true formula, but let's face it, if we want something fresh and new we already got it in the Fold and Flips right 🤣 (which surprisingly goes for almost the same price now!)

Now John to put a bit of a positive view of the situation, actually internal storage got so fast (up to 1Gbps and more with latest UFS 4.0) that actually giving support for external storage will hamper down performance (SD cards vary wildly and a lot of fake ones are a problem too) And like the note I put, even Samsung still doesn't know what they'll do after 2025 with Galaxy AI, so we'll just have to wait and see, whether we use it or not honestly (I do not use them all, just to be honest)

this is the way to go now, minor upgrade and design change is the way to go me personally too i like the design change every year but got tired of it and annoying of design change every year for me personally i love the design on the s21 line up and they change it on they s22 line up and kept it on today just like iphone and sony xperia 1 line up all have same design only minor change. just like certain product where they keep they design change like medicine and food what happend if they changed the product design every year? and this principle also goes with the car manufacturer where they kept the design for 5 year or more. i would rather stay on this s24 ultra design rather than going back to the s20 ultra design or like the xiaomi 14 ultra now the camera bump is so big and what design xiaomi 15 ultra gonna change next? i think they will not change it because it is their best camera and the circular design on the back symbolize a camera, this is just my opinion about smartphone design nowadays

Hello, comming from Xiaomi Mi 9T pro, I've used S24 Ultra for a month. Wanted the best overall phone, and apple in my country is way more expensive than samsung or other brands. The camera's were very impressive, the 1x and 5x especially. The screen of the phone was impressive with that anti glare new technology. The Pen was a very cool to play with, I even managed to put the lightsaber sound when in or out. Now for the average things of it, the battery performance was ok in the last two weeks, the screen on low brightness looked very weird, the AI features only used them once when testing them. The volume of the speaker during calls was average, and in my own language some letters sounded very bad that hurt the ears (romanian). As for the bad things: the phone heats up when taking photos. The speaker is... on the left side of the phone , and it's easy to cover it with your fingers, very annoying when watching media content (except youtube or anything in landscape). The square design , was unique but very incomfortable after some time to hold, even with protection case. The charging speed was way too slow for 2024, 1h+ to charge your phone, even if it did 1-60% in 40 min, it was not enough for me. Phone itself is very huge, but also heavy. Too heavy. The personal things I never read online that made me return it, the raise to wake sensor only worked 50% of the times, the fingerprint was way too high, unnatural position of the finger can also not recognise the finger. The face unlock worked fine (fast), but if you wanted to read your notications on locked screen, you had to raise the screen up, and the distance required was too long, it took like 3-4 attempts each time. Need to mention, I returned the first S24U after two weeks, cause a better priced offer appeared with free earbuds SE as well. So it s hard to tell I got two broken devices. Perhaps if you always been a Samsung user, you might never notice some of the issues mentioned above. I'm currently testing One Plus 12, and the only drawback so far is the camera with white tones, but still better than oversaturated the S24U made, and the low volume on speaker calls.

I was literally at the store, money in hand, ready to buy s24 Ultra. The 500 GB model no less. Found out last second no Micro SD. Left the store and bought TWO of the older phone I already had. I got 2 phones with 1.2 TB free space, a camera I can zoom farther than my eyes can see, And $600 left in my pocket. I can literally shoot 4k+ videos as much as I want and download entire 1080p football games to watch later and my storage is not even 15%. I might be 60 years old before I have to swap out the micro SD for a new one.😅 Buying a $1500 phone should never feel like a downgrade, and thats exactly how I feel about these newer phones. What good is support up to year 2035 if the battery only lasts 3 years??? And the better the cameras get, the more storage they take yet the storage options keep getting worse... Lol They must have lost AT LEAST $5000 worth of phone buying from me since they removed micro SD.

Just bought the s24 ultra and everything is fantastic but WHY the screen is less vivid than my note9 screen? Like I just put the S24U screen at vivid but it stills less vivid than my note9 ?! And I feel like the battery drains fast idk if it’s normal

i thought they fixed that issue in february update? my main concern is mura issues which seem to affect 30% of s24 units. i dont want to chance getting it

I upgrade my phone every year regardless how minimal or significant the update is for specific purpose. Your phone loses value the older it gets and you won't get the best deal on an upgrade without trading in the previous model. With the trade in I got with the S23 ultra, I got $800 cash back and free galaxy watch 6. Sold the watch as new and got $340 making my trade in just over $1100. And I'll do the same with the S25 next year.
@MrFang3333333 ай бұрын
I was just offered 800 to trade in a 5 year old phone. But Asurion LITERALLY wrote a $1300 check going that route. Note 20 ultra. No joke. I was excited about s24 ultra 500gb. When i found out no micro sd I took the money and bought TWO note 20 ultras. I have 1.2 TB. Excellent camera. Excellent performance, excellent sound and picture. I LITERALLY will take a 15 year old phone with micro sd, headphone jack and removable battery over a FREE top of the line new phone anyday. Spending $1500 on a phone should NEVER feel like a downgrade

Hi! I guarantee you that if you test them in day-to-day use, you will be amazed to find that the S23 Ultra is slightly better than the S24 Ultra, especially in the photo and video category. 😊 I'm using the S24 Ultra, but my wife still has the S23 Ultra, and I'm impressed with the photos she takes. :) Yes, it is Gorilla Glass, but the colors need to be remastered from the settings because the colors aren't that nice... I prefer the S23 Ultra. I managed to get an impressive offer from Three and got this phone s 24u for only £33 a month five months ago... but if I had to choose now, I would go with the S23 Ultra for sure... it's cheaper and a better Galaxy Ultra in my opinion. If you are a moderate or light user, the S22 Ultra is still an amazing phone and the best optimised device and design is top . 😮❤

The phone is literally the best phone in the market... not to mention SAMSUNG is pushing more deals every month just to let more customers to buy this phone... at least here in the PH, there are lots of deals every month... phone was 84k bought it for just 70k...
@namedkenn6 ай бұрын
Yeah man the deals are getting crazier, like the list price is 1300USD but now they’re around 1100USD here, that’s Samsung for you and enjoy!

I have one concern with samsungs which are there speakers. I went from an iphone 8 which was introduced in 2017 to a s21 introduced in 2021. When i first got the phone i realise how terrible the speakers were, lacking a lot of bass and sounding tinny. I wanna know if samsung has improved there speakers on the s24u because im planning to upgrade

Ok, so coming from the S22 Ultra. This one has the better design. Flat screen made me happy. Honestly come on Samsung and Apple do this BS every year so come on don't be surprised that they make another phone with few reasons to upgrade. You know what your getting so the question is,"Is it enough of a reason to upgrade? Still love this phone because it's still better than the Iphone so as long as that is still a fact, I don't care. Also I want to add that Samsung does need to improve the camera significantly so that anyone can see it's the better choice versus any other phone. Not saying it's not great.

I was an android fanboy from 2010-2023. The last 11 of those years I was a Samsung fanboy. I had the S3, s5, s7, s8+, s10+ and s22 ultra. I switched to apple when the 14 pro max came out and sold my s22 ultra. I am fully invested in the apple ecosystem now since I now and am very happy with my decision. However I just purchased the s24 ultra in black with 512gb of storage on verizon as a second phone.
