it's funny because kenny has become that artist with a unique perspective. people are fans of him the same way he is a fan of another artist.

I also think quieter ppl aren't necessarily boring or whatever, but that sometimes they lack the confidence to show their personality. People fear rejection. And those people, myself included, should work hard on building their self-confidence, figuring out what they like and go forward with expressing themselves more. Not everyone is gonna be as charismatic as a Ye or Drake or Kenny, but at least they'll stand out move and be remembered/strike convo with people. You can't network in silence or from a scared stand-point and that's what this business is all about.

yes im very quiet cause ive been shamed or judged or shut down just by family or my exes or friends.... im very sensitive more then the adverage guy and so everything i feel is heightened for me its hard when nodbody really fully understands... and then it takes such along time for me to create and get into the studio cause i dont have the money or im figuring out other stuff in my life... But hopefully in a month i should have new music out.

Facts! Fr! That's what creativity is all about! People like artists, not just music. And in this day and age its very important to express your true self, that's half the battle tbh. And because of individual thinking process and personality, originality comes in. That's how your music stands out cuz its authentic. And authenticity wins in the end, always!

I feel like being quiet allows people to project whatever they want on to you. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. I always think of Frank ocean and his low profile... I am almost the opposite personality type (bubbly? bordering annoying) and can’t help but sometimes be envious of “mysterious people” or people who are able to have. A more conformed persona

it's easy to say that the music will speak for itself, but if people have no person to connect it to it can be harder to effectively market your brand
I found this extremely helpful, couldn't ask for better timing, just really polishing up a new single and this advice is indescribably synchronous to my current position in musical understanding, to the point of being baffling....I've had, quite literally, the exact same thoughts crystalizing in my own mind for the last few days, regarding how important personality is to conveying meaning in your music... so I am really happy to see these same exact thoughts reflected so poignantly by you, and in such a chrisp way...The way you describe things is so helpful, I can tell you do this to really encourage smaller artists, hosting beat battles and stuff, that's really cool man, and I appreciate you and basically lurk on your channel to a fairly creepy degree, huge fan. anyways. Thank you for doing the good work that you do, I find it so funny when you dab on people and flex that alpha shit, it's jokes to see how different people react to being in the hotseat. love it.

Some people w horrible personalities make incredible music, If you want to be a personality online you have to carry a good personality, but it has nothing to do with your skills as a musician 🤣 There's a lot of producers whom I feel are actually carried by there personalities as there music is meh, and that's just the era of music were in

Why is that even a question? Of course, your music can speak up for itself without you going out giving interviews and shit. tha.Supreme is currently one of the top Italian rappers/producers and he never gave a video interview. Most of people don't even know what he looks like. A.R. Rahman is basically the GOAT of film music in India for the last 30 years. An extremely introvert guy in the beginning of his career and gave very few interviews. Won Oscars and Grammies, but he doesn't have a very interesting personality for the most of people. Many countless examples...

aren't "The Gorillaz" one of these type of groups? music speaks for itself, etc
@deylovecozy3 жыл бұрын
I mean the gorillaz are literally a group full of charcters. There are four personalities and one of them (Murdoc) has one of the biggest personalities I've seen in music. But as far as the creator of the gorillaz, Damon Albarn's "personality" shines through the group. Just my opinion.

@theorygeek0003 жыл бұрын
yes he is shy but think about his approach/charisma is totally unique and very powerful. He was one of the most important producers in the 00s. I don't think he channeled this energy into interviews or social media (a more recent development), but obviously he brought this energy to the studio and as a result was well respected in his community from artists and listeners.

Bro that might be the majorities opinion(not sure though) but it's wack if you ask me cuz really i can't care less about artists personal life or character i learn about those things randomly if they ever show up but all i give a shit about is the music and fuck not listening to an artist because of a personal trait i didn't like man or a thing they said, done .... This all sounds kinda dumb bro I mean we live in a social media frenzy society and it's gotten so deep that maybe that's the new norm ? You NEED social media to accept you ? we follow peoples daily life and what they do where they go so much now i think it's gotten outta hand 😂 but then again the fuck do i know i barley use social media and don't post any of the shit i do anywhere 🤷♂️

I think things like his coming out letter on tumblr got him alot of support and empathy from people. Also he expresses himself through the way he chooses to portray his style outside of music as well. For example his latest colab with prada. I think it's about more than words. He's def out there even if it's not in the most classical format.
