@@ThaSilentOne420 that’s great, but I don’t think it should just be one or the other. There should be grades of intensity that can be adjusted to allow students to get used to the intensity. Without that gradual increase many will still not get it.
@clacicle3 жыл бұрын
@@Sanjay-my7xc no. You always have to use some strength. It’s just that you have to learn how to increase and decrease it depending on when and who you train with and what the goals are of the training. When shaking the hand of a 5 year old child, you would not use the same strength as if you were to shake the hand of a 25 year old. The same goes for your training. When learning how to do something you do it slowly and gently first and then gradually increase the intensity/strength/complexity. Otherwise you never really get the finer points and improve.

@@humanbass I was trying to point out that we have weight classes for a reason. 2 black belts one weighing 120lbs and the other at 210lbs its obvious that is an advantage. Skill level has to be drastic to overcome that advantage. For example the 120 guy is brown belt and 210 guy is blue belt. Yeah skill makes a difference. Make them both brown belts and its an advantage. I think smaller guys like to think that the little guy can always win with bjj. It can happen but size plays a huge piece. I am 6'1 280 pretty solid. I get rag dolled by purple belts all day. Head instructor is 160lb 2nd degree black belt. He could tap me in seconds. A 240lb 2 stripe white belt is harder than a 140lb 3 stripe blue belt. Not knocking smaller guys because they have their own advantages like speed. However difference in skill is biggest factor. This is coming from a big guy that gets tapped regularly by higher level guys I have 100lbs on.
