At the risk of sounding old, it cannot be denied that they simply don't make music like this anymore. I've seen Kenny and Jim in concert several times now, and not only are they both extremely talented, but ALL of the musicians in the band are nothing less than top notch. Don't pass up any opportunity to see these guys if you ever get one!

100% correct later BBoomer here (1959) L&M, many other artists back then were drawing on past musicians and the entire musical lexicon before them, tributing the best of the past while clearly expanding on it & making it unique for their (our) generation Soul, creativity abounded. It was hard to keep up with everything that was happening, especially because the information highway had not yet been built. And boy - - It MEANT something if you could access a bootleg recording of... well, anything. Now, Most of what we hear (new music) is drawing on machinery and computer processing to "create"; fix, and formalize (read standardize) their sound to fit what... the younger generation has been largely programmed into accepting. Hard to insert and maintain true creativity and soul into that recipe. Perfection is boring. Auto tune is just that. Auto Pilot. Go to sleep and let the machines do what should be your artistic job. OK OK... nothin wrong with technological assistance (lord knows the sweet spot of music 1960-75 was in part sweet because of technological advancements opportunities new sounds) And yes - - FWIW the sound on this 2005 concert video has certainly fallen somewhat victim to that strive for perfection BUT - - still the soul of these genuine artists cannot but take center stage. I went to the Jones Beach show on the tour... cried a few times. Yet Still - - Give me L&M On Stage 1974 and see y'all in heaven. I am SO GRATEFUL I was born when I was. No bad vibes meant toward you young'uns.

You’re right and what a class act these guys are. I saw them on there so-called Retirement tour in the mid 70s. Kenny had broken his hand so he couldn’t play but he sang his ass off! I’ve always been impressed by that concert all the Horn players, doubled and tripled on instruments. The saxophone player played flute, clarinet, and so forth. Credible, songwriting, great production, and meaningful songs. I played House on Pooh corner for my nephew, starting when he was like two years old, and the last time I played for him was at his wedding! Those are the kind of songs that define a life and time!

When I first discovered Loggins and Messina I was a young man of 21. Now I am 64. To see them as mature artists is so amazing. They sound even better today. Oh life, what a wonderful journey. I want to singing Winnie the Pooh to my grandchildren.

Loved these guys since way back when. My two were first exposed to L&M in utero. Then in the car, at the house and to go to sleep. Will do the same for theirs. HUGE thx to the person who put this up even if it did take me a while to find it! They're matured and as smooth and wonderful as ever.

Thank you Kenny and Jim! Your great music has made my life so blessed. From falling in love with my wife to the birth of our children. And now the great days and nights spent on our sailboat. Thank you so much. Ben and Lori French.

Anyone who ever listened to the L & M On Stage album or saw them back then knew how good they were as a live act. This reunion tour that they did in 2005, (which I was able to catch at Merriweather Post in MD) just reinforces that fact. 30 years apart and they don't miss a beat. Thank you for posting this.

I saw them in Ft Worth in about 76 or so, best concert of my life. I've seen K Loggins several times since in loyalty, but the 2 of them together is next level! I bought tickets to see them in Stateline NV in 09 but alas the concert didn't come off. Once I start this concert, I can't turn it off it's so compelling!

I’m a follower since the 70s. 68 y/o now and I miss this music Loggins talent and voice, Messina’s guitar, fills and voice blend. Messina has no wasted notes on guitar. The whole band is stellar here.
