That's Vicki Randle who's a great singer/musician She’s performed with many artists including Aretha Franklin, Mavis Staples, George Benson, Lionel Richie, Celine Dion & Herbie Hancock. She also became a member of The Tonight Show Band with Jay Leno back in the 90's.

I have such vivid memories of this song and the Leap of Faith album. I’m currently 29, but as a young kid, I remember cruising around with my dad in his Corvette with this album on repeat. It sounded great through the Bose stereo. But there was something about this song...the a cappella intro and then the sax solo made it my favorite song on LOF. Fast forward to now, I studied saxophonist in college and am currently a high school band director. I routinely play this album in my corvette for some nostalgia.

Spoiler alert! I love this song but let's not get carried away. The track has definitely been sweetened. You hear instruments where there's no one to play them. When the girl stands up to play the tambourine, you still hear congas. And the choir track is exactly the same as the studio version. Exactly.
