This statement by Kenny is the BIGGEST reason on why they shouldn’t be EVPS in the company. Mainly because that title doesn’t make you one of the boys and everything you do or say behind the scenes is magnified because you have that title. An Example would be telling the same locker room in a talent meeting that you wouldn’t hire 80% of them. Most people can’t say anything back or defend themselves because if they did they might lose their jobs

The undertaker was a true generational talent and never had his own dressing room.(So goes the rumor anyway). I do get it's hard for the casual fan to separate persona from reality. If you need to make the statement, I'm just one of the boys you're not. Nor should he be. He's a boss kind of disingenuous to frame it any other way. You have to have a certain professional distance to be an effective boss. If everyone likes the boss, they're not doing the job right.

@@Broncoburger the difference is Undertake wasn’t a founder of WWE. AEW started because the fans believe in Kenny, Cody and The Bucks the company was literally built on their backs. Tony needed help steering the ship the first couple of years to get the company off the ground that’s why they were granted EVP status so TK had people to go to because he was obviously new to starting a wrestling promotion.

Once Cody started to do his own thing and it wasn’t working (QT Marshall & the factory) that’s when things went south for Cody because he didn’t want to be a heel witch would of been perfect for him.

He literally said half a dozen times in the media scrum on the record in front of cameras that Kenny, The Bucks, and Page were the leak sources to Meltzer. They’re Dave’s main sources, they’re friends with Cabana, and they were insecure about Punk overshadowing their established position in AEW. So if it wasn’t them leaking the false information to Dave about Cabana’s exit from AEW, then who? Nobody else had the motivation or connection to Cabana and Dave to do so. If you dig Kenny that’s fine, but don’t pretend for a second that he had nothing to do with the smear campaign.
