I heard this song for the first time about 2 weeks ago in the grocery store. I noticed the stock clerk was singing along. I asked him if he knew who this was. He said it was one of his favorites. Good songs have longevity and cross generations. The clerk was in his 20's and I turn 62 in Dec. This is now added to my loooooong list of favorite songs!

I was going through some shit back in college in 2014 and I listened to a local classic rock radio station that played this a lot. I was also growing close to a beautiful woman named Danielle Chavarria. She helped me through some rough times. I have been dreaming about her lately and she is once again a frequent thought on my mind. I hope that she is doing well and not in any emotional distress. They say that when you dream about someone it means they miss you. I miss her too. 😭😭😭 This song always makes me think of her since I listened to it a lot when we were still associating. This one goes out to you, Danielle. I miss you and even though it's been seven years since I have last seen your beautiful face, it still remains as vivid in my mind as it was when I first met you.

Kenny is following in the footsteps of Neil Young. This song has the same feeling as Old Man but goes into the meaning a lot deeper. If one believes it is better to crash and burn fast instead of fading out slowly, that is their belief and choice. Just an opinion: Since I'm already an old man aged 71. Still so much in life might not care to experience, but that is life and in the old days life reached, as high as 800+ years. So living one life for a long time, seems more practical to give one's self, to get it right, then to crash and burn and to possible nor maybe never get it right. What might work for one may not work for another.

Tia Sillers wrote the lyrics. She & her husband Mark Selby collaborated with KWS on the song. Mark and Kenny were jamming and Tia came up with the lyrics. Epic song 👍💯💙🖤
