Good to know. The Marauder just seems like such a more expensive car to maintain as well. Can't rotate tires, Premium fuel. Better engine is always a plus. What about putting a better engine in a Vic with a blower? I haven't found a Marauder for under 9k and has a over 100k miles. Lots of nice P71's for 3k. The Marauder is a beauty.

that was true when they first came out but they are much more reasonably priced now. I have owned a 2003 p71 crown vic and now own a 2003 marauder. The marauder is just such a more refined car and has the better engine.

I asked that question when Mercury had 7 Marauders on the Hot Rod Power Tour in 2003. They said the clutch pedal hanger/linkage would have "...reduced the crash test rating." So Ford didn't do it. Thanks US Government!

It's a revived name. The Mercury Marauder was a full size performance car from 1963???-70. It was sporty performance model for the full size Mercs and what it was back in 2003-04 UPDATE: I missed the point of the S. The S is likely for Supercharged

Bro go drive a real Mercury Marauder and, Crown Vic and you'll buy The Marauder! I've owned both so I know. a Crown Vic is slow as hell. and Mercury Marauder is fast. Compared to that slow 2 Val the Crown Victorias Got. get up to 30 smashed pedal to the floor you'll never look at a Crown Vic again.

Prius yeah the car that blew our shopping center. And takes forever to get somewhere. Get a 2013 malibu ls fleet. Or get anything but a prius. Hell get a celica. But a marauder is a great car. Or get an old grand marquis and replace worn parts get a paint job and keep your milage plus your muscle. Prius suck. Dont let a saab hit you. The fucking saab will win. And if you let it sit or try to charge it wrong it will explode like a bomb.

Whats funny is that you can soup your marauder up yourself for less and get more HP than Kenny Brown lmao same with the P71!You can pump like 500+ HP for only 10 grand or less in mods!

Highly sought after nowadays and are holding their value like almost nothing else. I almost bought one new, but went for a Super Duty of the same sticker price. I paid $27, 250 cash for a $33, 850 list price of the S.D. However, I doubt the same discount could have been achieved for a 2003 Marauder. LOL, I covet a red 2004.
