Lets see, at the start Obi was depressed and off his A game which caused him to get mugged by the sand people. His self confidence was so low his Affect Minds force skill didn't work for him and his reflects were really off. After he got his mojo back and went to talk to the last storm trooper, he didn't even bother to wave his had to effect that guys memory. Over all it was fun to watch. Why don't the S.T. have radios in their helmets ? Also in canon, S.T. helmets record ever thing they see and hear.

@@krispalermo8133 I have to agree. And I thought it was good to have him make mistakes, or not be on his game. Just like anything, if you don't keep training, like working out in the gym, what happens you get small, your not as strong. Well our minds or brains are the same. He hasn't used his powers in years, or his saber. He even had a hard time getting it back like Luke did in Empire Strikes Back, when it was just a little bit down in the snow fighting the snow creature. 12:05 And there old Ben stood. A hermit living in the desert wastes. A man that had lost everything, a man broken by war and the great betrayal of his closest friend. His fellow Jedi brothers and sisters hunted down and slaughtered like animals. His connection to the force weakened by the sheer trauma and pain of it all. The sole protector of a boy that was the only hope for the future of the Jedi. “Drop it!” Ordered the stormtrooper. And then slowly he came to his senses. Igniting the blade of his fallen apprentice he began to effortlessly deflect the blaster bolts for a few moments old Ben was gone and in his place was Clone Wars Jedi general Obi-Wan Kenobi.

This is exactly what the franchise should have done. Not bigger ships, but bigger stories, bigger people, but small events. Its a huge galaxy, you dont have to save all of it everyday. Just saving one little boy is more than enough drama for a movie. If that little boy is destined to save the galaxy one day, thats good. But its not necessary. Big wars turn to big statistics. You cant turn emotion bigger by adding big statistics. You turn them bigger by looking closer. Magnificent work, this one. A true heir to the originals, the Force is indeed with you.

I usually have a hard time enjoying Fan Films. They're too passionate, or get ahead of themselves. They focus more on action than story, or just want to show off their talent with VFX. But this was excellent. It really captured the feel of Star Wars. Taking itself seriously, but not *too* seriously. Humour wasn't forced. Music played as big a role as the actors. Story was short and sweet, and fit the pacing. Jamie you did an unbelievably good job evoking something closely between Ewan and Alec. I had to re-listen to some of the lines and wrack my brain to make sure it wasn't an audio dub. I'd argue that it's even better than Star Wars in some ways. The pacing is very different from the official films. It almost plays like a classic western or even a European art house film. Star Wars, even at its best, has always had a frenetic pace to please the popcorn crowd. But this short film is both very mature in its presentation, as well as entertaining and to the point.

Seriously, everyone involved with this should be given jobs by Lucasfilm to continue producing top quality content in the Star Wars universe. Disney take note! This had more authenticity to the universe than anything JJ Abrams produced - with a fraction of the budget and a fraction of the 'spectacle'. A good story well told is so much better than flashy FX and explosions. This would've neatly slotted in between Episode III and IV (a III.5 if you like) and if George Lucas had his name on it no-one would know that it wasn't produced officially. Well done everyone - I hope you all go far and look forward to the next project!

This was exactly what fans said back when Lucas made Revenge Of The Sith, and CNBC ran a segment that featured a FanFilm entitled "Star Wars- Revelations", which had a very low budget when it was made, yet won enough awards to drawl some attention to it, particularly for the fast paced scene of the space chase through an Imperial shipyard, which looked a 'lot' like the scene in Return Of The Jedi, where the ships are flying inside the second Death Star. The thing is, Lucas approved a LOT of the FanFilms, between the the early 2000's, to when he sold Star Wars to Disney, an act which came about when the so-called "fans" complained about how he (Lucas) was handling HIS story, telling him how bad of a job he was doing. Of course, to be honest, I was one who 'thought' he was doing a bad job simply because he constantly changed his story while doing the original trilogy, then screwed things up by re-editing the films and creating the special editions (1997), just so he could have it where Han didn't gun down Greedo from under the table (Han shot 'only') in cold blood, and that he could re-insert the scene of Han meeting Jabba at Docking Bay 94, a scene that has Han carelessly step on Jabba's tail......as in Jabba The Hutt....the most notorious crimelord gangster in the galaxy, and Han just steps on his tail without any problem from Jabba... Rrrrright.

Obi Wan Kenobi I guess you forgot about that training Yoda said you needed in order to commune with Qui-gon and preserve your consciousness, also the fact that you became more powerful while on Tatooine as shown in the canon comics. And you forgot the hyphen in your name...

So much better, I came back after finishing the show because I wanted to watch some real quality fan fiction, other than that new Disney fan fiction, If you can even call them fans.
@soranibrahim53342 жыл бұрын
Only reason why it's better then the kenobi show is because this is not a disney movie where they nerf the blasters/lightsabers to the point they only graze a target on impact, (making it more child friendly) I think thats why people make out the storyline of disneys star wars to be kinda a joke like 3 times in the 3 movies Rey was supposed to die due to being hit with a lightsaber yet not once did she die. Oh and in the star wars timeline force heal was supposed to be a long lost jedi ability and she learns it in under 30 seconds of seeing a injured animal... yeah the storyline is shit but the fact remains disney owns the rights to star wars so what they say is cannon is cannon and it sucks.
@LisaAnn7772 жыл бұрын
@@soranibrahim5334 Disney is just expensive fan fiction in my mind. Idc how much money they spent. Disney, if you want me to change my mind give me $10,000. That's it! I'll be a sell out!

@@LisaAnn777 literally nothing Disney do is fan fiction because they own the franchise meaning everything they do is official and not fan fiction. I swear to god, people like you throw that word around to the point that it loses all its meaning to try and define it as something it’s not
