From the depths of my nerdy heart, thank you to everyone who clicked on this video to watch my Darth Vader fan film! This was a passion project fueled by my love for Star Wars, and I'm so appreciative of all the people who helped me make it. A special thanks to Devin Mombourquette for elevating this project beyond what I could have done alone. We give a lot of critiques and praises to films on this channel, but it's a great feeling to present our own project to the scrutiny of an audience. Whether you love it, hate it, or thought it was meh, thank you for giving it a chance. Maybe one day I'll have an actual budget! Happy May 4th, and may the Force be with you. great job but not sure why Vader asked the other guy "Is it him?" shouldn't he be able to sense Luke? other than that it's great. Love the inner conflict. We all have light and dark in us, it's the acknowledgement of it and the knowledge of our own ability to choose which to listen to that is the deciding factor. that is where the real power lies. the gift of free will.

Hello, Star Wars fans! I've been working on the VFX here for nearly two years now. It's insane to see this is actually about to hit all these eyeballs after all this time. This massive, all-consuming, often frustrating task was a huge love letter to a franchise that I, like so many of you, grew up with. The intro was originally supposed to be a few short shots, but in my stubbornness I insisted on something grandiose to appease my inner 5-year old. I could've kept working on this until the day I died, so luckily Holden drew a line in the sand and said "May 4th is the day." Still, it's so weird to finally let it go and leave it with all of you now. I hope you like it. -Devin

While I applaud their effort, this short is on par with Disney in terms of writing. The dialogue between the Vader's was uninspired except for one good line, and there were so many oed choices that hurt the film. 2 starfighters, yet they send an Armada of ships. Random Mandalorian post credits. The whole film basically re-iterates something we already know, that Vader still has some light in him. This is more a show of sfx and cinematography, but I don't think those two things are the main issues with the Disney projects.

Holden. This was quite extraordinary as Annikin/Vader is the very literary essence of a tortured yet the greatest hero and villain in one. Luke is more powerful due to Vaders suit. This was genius. If Disney had an ounce of intelligence not stupidity you could have written for them. This would unite all fans. There is no Star Wars w/o the skywalkers. Bravo

My son and I were there while you guys filmed the Vader vs Vader scene in Pensacola. He was so excited when you guys released this. Amazing job

This is Star Wars!!! exactly what we want from Disney as a whole yet seldom receive. I love the composition of both CGI and IRL footage used to create this film. Exceptional cinematography, world building and talented acting truly makes this fan film one of the best i've seen. And the Vader cosplay as a whole is remarkably akin to the in universe design. Great stuff man and thanks for creating this work of art.

Holden Hardman. You are a Legend Mate !!! The Force is Truly Strong with you and your film shows your love and passion for the universe that is Star Wars. Congratulations on this film. It’s brilliant! May you continue to bring the world your vision as a director. Your fan from Australia 🇦🇺

Never ceases to amaze me how sw fans can make better and passionate fan films with a much smaller budget yet can still tell a compelling story. Good job guys! MTFBWY!

You can tell down to the last atom this was written by a Star Wars fan, from the hyperspace idea to the SITH AND JEDI CODES being recited??? The scale of this is huge and the sheer amount of work and passion put into this severely outweighs ANY small imperfections this may have. That was awesome.

As a starwars fan since 1977, I got to say that the fan films have been fun to watch and have filled the voids between the movies…keep up the good work!!! I saw the fan film with the fight between Obi wan and Vader on the Death Star…I wish that was added into the actual remake… hopefully Lucas will possibly see these short films a make additions! Even though I’m a huge Obi wan fan Vader has been a favorite too! Such a tragic story of loss, deception and redemption!

The best fan film made yet. So detailed and looks like out of "Rogue One."

The fact that it's filmed to resemble the original trilogy won me over. Fantastic job.

Don't get me wrong I love a flashy lightsaber battle. Yet the best Star Wars fanfilms are always those that you actually can add as your personal headcanon to the story as something that happened we just never got to see it. Without needing to do some mental gymnastic and rewrites. And this clears that bar with ease. Well done.

I can’t believe this was only 20 minutes long! You packed more pure, emotional, compelling, and entertaining Star Wars content in this short film than 6 years of D_____ and L_____ combined! Thanks! More please?

Dude Holden, and everyone else that worked on this project, friggen amazing, got a feeling of more love and passion from this 21 minutes of a fan movie than anything disney has put out. 20/10 will goosebump again, thanks again... and just remember., this is what the star wars community is about, not all the bullcrap that people try spewing, we're a passionate fan base, and if it had sucked, we would've been equally as bashing as we are praising

Ok. I haven’t watched this channel in a very long time and it recently came to mind. Before I went searching for Holden’s most recent video, this video popped up in my feed and though I’m terrified by this “algorithm” reading my mind, I’m still grateful because this was a wonderful story. I could really see it was written through the lens of a Christ follower and was so moved by the climactic light vs dark scene. Thank you! 🙏🏻

i'm 2 minute in. NO FUCKING WAY THIS IS FAN MADE. This is literally the best fan made movie ive ever seen, this puts everything Disney+ did in the past 6 years to shame, how is no one funding this studio??????

This isn't the best. But the fighter scene was exactly what it should be. They made it better than Disney. Lucasfilm should have outsource their production team

THE BLOCKING. The way the camera and actors were plotted out (especially during the space action) was absolutely TOP TIER.

There he is. There's always some idiot that comments that. Imagine if this fan filme actually turned out to be made by Disney. If that's so, it sucks completely doesn't it? The writing, the sound effects, it's all full of shit. But no, it's a fan film, so it's automatically 200 times better than anything a multi billionaire company could ever do, despite their success by making stuff like the mandalorian, andor, rogue one, and a much more.
@ΠαζαρακιαΣιτι7 ай бұрын
@@thomazplays9305 yes accept it. multi billion dollar companies are eveil woke and greedy, thats why the can do shit. on the other hand the amateurs know that the fans do because they want it themselves. no go back to your cave and watch movies that fund people that turn children gay.
