I love Orlando, not because I was born here but because of everything there is to do. Also with it being dead center of Florida, traveling to other parts of FL takes a lot less time to do so.

The growth in Winter Garden is amazing to me. Until very recently, (within 20-25-ish years) it was all orange groves, and now it's a full grown town.

I love Orlando Florida so much, I want to live there! I'm so thankful I watched this video. I've learned the Pros and Cons about living in Orlando Florida. One thing I want to be aware of is the hurricane, Insurance for the rent, and putting gas for my car before I deal with traffic. I miss Disney World Animal Kingdom so much! I haven't been there since 2011 and I would like to work for them as a Zookeeper to make a lot of money or become a millionaire because it is beautiful there. I could also enjoy and spend time at the Swimming pool, Roller Coasters and watching the parade at Magic Kingdom. I additionally want to move to Orlando or Kissimmee Florida because I've been dreaming about this since I was a kid and I'm looking forward to it for the future!

Trust me, you do not want to move to Orlando FL unless you have money or rich parents. The rent here is getting ridiculous high, and health insurance sucks. I'm really blessed to be born in an affluent family, so if you're middle class, then don't do it. It really breaks my heart to see my friends who are middle class and they have to struggle with rent and health care.

I lived in Orlando for 4 years between 2000 and 2004. I practically watched the entire Millenia Area develop, including the mall from the ground up.. It was fascinating to see . That area is totally unrecognizable now lol

I love your videos! The only thing missing in detail is the incredible education, k-12 through University. Like the University of Central Florida and Rollins College! Some of the top schools in the nation in the best location! Besides that you captured everything I love about living here in Orlando! I’ve recently graduated and have prioritized my job/internship search to the massive Fortune 500 opportunities here!

A reflection as a New Yorker that moved to St. Cloud, but if you're from the North you will find living in Orlando somewhat hard to get used to, not impossible, but hard. So much stupidity exists in that city, from drivers who don't know how to use their signals to drivers who will tailgate you for no reason. In addition, people and the way of living is so slow and people work like they got all day. Referring to MCO, everyone must also know the airport gets SUPER CONGESTED, ALWAYS. Especially holiday season, it will take 30-45min to just get into the terminal! I know because I used to work in hotels taking passengers and bringing them back. Terminal A is ALWAYS congested (Spirit, Frontier, Southwest, etc.). Yes, Orlando is cheaper vs Tampa and Miami and it's traffic is not as bad, but there is just a lot especially for those that come from New York or anywhere up North that will test your patience. People wanna move to Orlando because of Disney or whatever, but #1 chances are you will NOT live by Disney and #2 if you do, it isn't all that safe and also cheap. Health insurance absolutely SUCKS in Florida. The cheapest plan is like $200 and it does not cover you anything unless you meet your $8,000ish deductible. I know because I just tried to apply last week and am currently with no insurance. The good thing living in Orlando is that it's easier to get an apt, unlike up North they don't ask for 3 months advance or 700 credit score. I have 720 and paid no deposit on my apt only first month. You also get more for your money, no worries about parking, and mortgages here are almost what you pay in rent. Great place to buy a home. It's also more calm than Miami or Tampa especially if you live in a nice area, do your research on safest cities because not all are pleasant to live in, I have been to most cities sight seeing and can list which ones I would not live in, visit, yes, but not to live in. I would say Orlando or Tampa is ok to raise family, but if you are a single person, GO TO MIAMI.

All I hear about Orlando is food food food. That's cool and all, but what else is there to do. I know someone who is from NYC and is very lonely. They want to take dance classes that are not zumba or salsa. My friend was in a program with culture courses from Africa, Cuba, Brazil and other folklore classes and she has not found anything here close to that. Also, job wise she has applied to so many jobs and got scammed in one and the others is non existing. Walkability not so much. Theme parks is not why she moved, it was due to her bf job offer. She is thinking of moving back because what she likes is not offered in Orlando. She said that people seem angry here. She has tried engage but gets rude people all the time . She told me with the sunshine why so mad. I told her just come back to NYC you gave it a try and it is not for you. It is ok.

How far is the beach from Orlando? if you would like to go for a day with your kids? Is it doable with traffic? Like 1-1:30 hours?
@kenpozek8 ай бұрын
Depending on what part of Orlando you’re in, Cocoa Beach is 1-1:30 away. New Smyrna is also really popular and under 90 minutes too. Those are both on the East Coast. Some of my favorite beaches are on the gulf coast. Saint Pete Beach is just under two hours away. Naples Beach is 3 1/2 hours away.

Just one question 🙋♂️ why is the airport called MCO and what does it stand for, otherwise I will call it Orlando international airport or it should be called OIA just my opinion..😅
@kenpozek11 ай бұрын
Haha! I TOTALLY agree. OIA would be much better. McCoy Air Force Base was on the land that the airport now sits. So they abbreviated it. McCoy Orlando - MCO

Do you happen to have a breakdown of the schools in the Clermont area? Private and public? We are planning to move for fall of 2025. My daughter will be entering high school and my son middle school. We are coming from Texas. We are intrigued by the growth particularly the Olympus project/wellness way. Our plan is to find the school that best fits our kids and move in that area, initially. Whether it’s a rental, 3 bedroom townhome w en suites (saw that in your video) or home. Whatever is best at the time of the move. I will be visiting the area a few times over 2024 to learn as much as I can about the area. Most importantly I need to find the right schools. Looking for the best soccer clubs in the area as well, both kids are heavy into soccer and track and field. Academically we need a school that allows for college credit as an option. Hoping you could help or recommend someone who could help me. Thank you!

All big cities have crime and a homelessness issue. Its hardly isolated to Orlando and in fact I'd say in Orlando it's not nearly as prevalent as in other cities. Pine Hills is like 5% of the Greater Orlando Area.Hardly representative of the beautiful region as a whole.

Orlando Florida is a beautiful city, but it's starting to turn into Miami Florida. The rent here is getting ridiculously high, their's traffic everywhere, and the health insurance market is terrible for the middle and lower class. So unless you have money, or if your parents are rich, then dont move to Orlando FL. I grew up in Orlando since 1999, so I know what I'm talking.
