It looks like it was previously colored with highlights. However, I would buy that she put Sun In on her hair at one point to go blonde and it didn't work, but over time the sun made it lighter. Which Sun-In is not color, so... And don't say "Sunny California" I'm in Sunny Florida and Sunny Texas. The sun does not create a line of demarcation.

Very nice, but it's not highlights, is balayage.
@KenraProfessional2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ioannis! Although the end result is beautifully blended, a lightening service that only uses foils and no other freehand work is not typically considered a balayage. If Mirella were to freehand paint a few pieces outside of the foils, it could then technically be considered a foilayage. We hope this helps.

So this is really irritations. I keep going to hairdressers asking for Balayage and THIS is what they keep doing!!!!!???? The end result looks like this but the photos I show don’t match up. And I go to HIGH end salons. What am I asking for is not the end result. Although the end result looks beautiful still and fine, it isn’t technically what I wanted. When I researched balayage technique, I see woman free style and color it in a V shape and THAT end result IS what I am wanting. How do I ask for that. I feel like they just give me highlights and charge me for balayage and call it balayage. But to me, I call this highlights too. This is EXACTLY what the salon did to my hair yesterday and you’re calling it highlights which is what I feel they did. I don’t consider this a balayage. And the 3 times I’ve gotten it done this is what they do when I ask for balayage. Please help me understand. How can I get what I want?!?!

Wow wow wow! Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for such a detailed video! Literally looking in my book to see which clients to use this technique on😊 I do have a couple questions...Where did you get your shampoo bowl, and do you love it? Second question, in using your direct dyes, do they come in different levels, or do you also have clear to potentially lighten them if needed? Thanks again! Xxoo
@KenraProfessional2 жыл бұрын
Hi Dana! While we can't answer the question about the bowl, we CAN let you know that our Creatives (Direct Dyes) only come in one color-- they can technically be used on any level to create a cast or stain onto the hair, but applying to pre-lightened hair will give the brightest, boldest effect. Ideally, you will want to lift the hair to a level 10 for bold looks. You can add Clear to brighten and customize the shade! We hope this helps!

I’m a newbie and appreciate your help, so is it correct to blow dry the hair before applying the toner? I think that’s what I heard. Thx
@KenraProfessional2 жыл бұрын
Hi Racquel! Demi-permanent color can be applied to damp or dry hair, so it's really a matter of preference. While applying to dry hair can sometimes help the toner to deposit more fully, Kenra Color demi-permanents can absolutely be applied at the shampoo bowl after shampooing the lightener out, saving you lots of time from having to blow-dry, apply, process, and then shampoo & condition all over again. We hope this helps!

Not really a full head “highlight” more of a full head balayage
@KenraProfessional2 жыл бұрын
Hello! Because this look was achieved using only foils, it would not be considered a balayage. "Balayage" in US salons typically refers to freehand or open air lightening without the use of papers, foils, caps, etc. However, because Mirella used a teasylight technique in the foils, it does give a more balayaged, blended effect. We hope this helps!
