If you buy a slave and walk far enough away they'll follow you and eventually end up becoming a slave recruit. They might try to run eventualy though.

wait until you start running into cannibals, yes holy nation kept them at Bay also. but if you are looking for holy nation settlements why are you skirting around their lands, you should boldly walk through the center, and reclaim them

You can buy slaves, but its tricky. You need to pick up each and either bring them outside city or pop em in your own cage. I used to buy all slaves and they can be released, but often get into trouble stealing or stuff like that.

@@Sabouts that is an idea . But i had a thought. If you found a city that is either holy nation or at best neutral ground see if you can buy a building there to set up shop for a while so you can accumulate strength.

if you really need food try find swamp turtles they give you decent amount of raw meat and are weak
