Hi 🤗 Yes, the melody and lyrics are amazing 😊👍 The singer voice is very good too ❤️
About three years ago, Mr. Yonezu tried a song with a very unusual theme. I really like this challenge. He's so coooool! 🥰 The song is "死神 / Shinigami (Death God)". ☠ His theme is "Shinigami (Death God)", one of the performances of "落語 / Rakugo", a classical Japanese art form. He transformed it into a song. Rakugo is a form of entertainment in which a person called a rakugoka / 落語家 or Hanashika / 噺家 tells a story to the audience on stage, and the hanashika acts out several characters and scenes that appear in the story by himself. Rakugo began around the Edo period in Japan, and popular rakugoka were born one after another during that Edo period. It is still an art form that continues to this day, and there are many popular hanashikas. Rakugo has a family system like a faction, and is made up of a master and his disciples. The name of the storyteller is passed down. Rakugo is famous as a classical art form that still has the custom of passing on a name, just like Kabuki, such as "三代目 市川 團十郎 / Ichikawa Danjuro III". Rakugo has many stories called plays / 演目 / Enmoku, and there are famous plays that have been passed down for several generations. "Shinigami" is also a famous play. "Shinigami" is one of the plays whose story even I, who am not very familiar with rakugo, know. Not only did Mr. Yonezu turn the rakugo story "Shinigami" into a song, he also plays the storyteller in the music video. 👍🏻👍🏻~👍🏻 The venue for the performance was "新宿末廣亭 / Shinjuku Suehirotei", a theater that is used in real life. Mr. Yonezu was also taught how to act when performing rakugo by a real storyteller. This is a work (song) that allows you to enjoy how a top runner in the Japanese music world like Mr. Yonezu expresses Japan's classical traditional culture. If you like, please give it a listen. "Shinigami" music video --- kzbin.info/www/bejne/bp_bko1sbqqfe8U ※This music video is a short version, about 2 minutes long. The full version includes still images and lyrics. --- kzbin.info/www/bejne/qp68op19rMl6bNU The full version is 3 minutes long, so it's a relatively short song. On top of that, the ending is also unusual. It ends abruptly, like it's cut off... There may be some intention on Mr. Yonezu's part, but I haven't figured it out yet. 🤷🏻 If you like, please consider Mr. Yonezu's intention for this song. 🤗👍🏻

@@squeakychairchannel Please don't mind my requests. I'm just letting you know whatever comes to mind. I write my comments casually, hoping that if you ever look back at my comments for some reason, the content of my comments will be one of your ideas. You cannot change the length of time no matter what you do, so I believe that if you just continue to do what you can, one thing at a time, one day, the results of your work will appear, just like snow piling up. When snow starts to fall, it falls to the ground and melts, making it unclear that it has fallen, but if it continues to fall, it forms a mountain and you can use the snow to make a snowman. In Japan, people build domes called kamakura out of snow, where they roast and eat rice cakes, drink alcohol, and have fun. The more snow falls, the more things you can do. This is a strange analogy. ✌🏻😁

@@jhomsubiaga-cabaro5715 By coincidence, I was recently rewatching the drama "Unnatural" on a video streaming site, and I was moved by the fact that Mr. Yonezu's "Lemon🍋" was played as an insert song in the final scene of each of the 10 episodes. The meaning of the lyrics of "Lemon🍋" overlapped with the theme of the drama, and I couldn't watch it without crying. The contrast between the song and the drama was so perfect that when I was trying to recommend it to Mr. Alex from this channel, he had this reaction. In the lyrics, Mr. Yonezu depicts a love story between a man and a woman that ends sadly, but when he wrote the lyrics, he was thinking of his deceased grandfather. I think the great thing about this song is that the world of the song can expand in any way depending on the listener's sensibilities. 🤗

I too love Yonezu Kenshi. His songs and music videos are always unique, artistic and mysterious. Lemon is the ending song for the drama "Unnatural," which is set in a fictional laboratory called the Unnatural Death Investigation Laboratory (UDI Laboratory). The UDI Laboratory was established to improve the autopsy rate in Japan, which is the lowest among developed countries, as more than 80% of unnatural deaths in Japan are not autopsied. It is the first institution in Japan to be authorized by the government to conduct research specifically to determine the cause of death, and the story takes place as it dissects approximately 400 bodies a year requested by the police and local governments.

@@squeakychairchannel "Southern All Stars" is a six-member band formed in 1974 by Keisuke Kuwata-san / 桑田 佳祐さん and made their major debut in 1978. Since then, they have been at the top of the Japanese music scene to this day. (One member has now left the band, leaving them as a five-member group. Many Japanese people simply refer to them as "サザン / Southern". Therefore, from now on, I will also abbreviate it to "Southern".) Many of the lyrics and compositions are written by main vocalist Kuwata-san, and some songs were written by band member and Kuwata-san's wife, Hara Yuko-san/原 由子さん. They formed the band when they were university students and made their debut without any problems, but they quickly became popular and released hit songs one after another. It has been 50 years since the band was formed, so there have been ups and downs in their popularity and many other things that have happened during that time. 🔹Shortly after their debut, Kuwata suffered from a nervous breakdown, perhaps because he could not bear the gap between the "student atmosphere" and the "showbiz (music industry) world," and he even appeared on a popular music program of the time in pajamas with a pale face. 🔹Four years after their debut, Kuwata and Hara, who were also band members, got married to everyone's congratulations. It's a bit of an urban legend, but some people say that love between members of a music band won't work out, or that it will cause the band to break up, but they have brilliantly debunked that. And now, even many Japanese people who aren't fans of Southern All Stars praise Kuwata and Hara as the "ideal couple". 🧒🏻🩷👩🏻👏🏻 Their music is centered around love songs, but rather than simple love stories, many of them tell the tales of the maneuverings of love and the events that lead up to them, with Kuwata-san's signature jokes and spice added. 🩷🧡💛💚💙💜💥 Furthermore, Kuwata-san is a great lover of his hometowns of Kamakura, Shonan, and Chigasaki, and he incorporates summer seascapes into his songs to the fullest. 🎆🏖🏞🌅🍉🎇 So, in Japan, there was a time when it was said that "If it's summer, it's Southern!", and in summer, Southern's songs were often played somewhere. 🏖~♪🏞~♫😎 (鎌倉/Kamakura, 湘南/Shonan, 茅ヶ崎/Chigasaki are famous and popular coastal areas in Japan, located in 神奈川/Kanagawa Prefecture next to Tokyo. Kamakura was the site of the Shogunate in the 12th and 13th centuries, and is an important historical region along with Kyoto, Osaka, and Tokyo.) A long time ago, when I visited Kamakura, I rode the local train "江ノ電 / Enoden" that runs through the area. I myself was "inspired by the charm of Southern All Stars" and rode the Enoden while listening to Southern All Stars songs that I had prepared for myself. It was a very moving experience! 🤩😁 Their music has lyrics and songs that make the listener feel good. Not only are they fun, but they also make you feel emotional and many of their songs can bring you to tears. In addition to that, when it comes to Kuwata, "eroticism" is an indispensable element! There are quite a lot of erotic songs! 🤣😅 In my personal impression, Kuwata is quite erotic, and a little vulgar, but on the contrary, it makes him very human, and I can't help but love him. My true impression of Kuwata-san is "a very serious genius and musician". But sometimes he goes too far and sings super erotic songs and does erotic things, but he is a friendly, unpretentious, and humorous genius uncle. Perhaps because Southern is celebrating its 50th anniversary since the band was formed and will soon be celebrating its 50th anniversary since its debut, Southern has been very active since the beginning of this year. Recently, Southern has been uploading short videos of their past hit songs to KZbin one after another. The videos have a nice design and use the old Japanese expression "縦書き / vertical writing". Since you like "vertical writing", I wanted to introduce some of Southern All Stars' short videos. When I saw these vertically written lyrics, they struck a chord with me, and although they are all songs I've listened to many times, I thought "that's nice!" and took notice. 🔴「太陽は罪な奴」/ "The Sun is a Sinner" --- kzbin.infosRURJt8uU8w 🟠「C調言葉に御用心」/ "Beware of C-Key Words" --- kzbin.infoHB2Ta9Tt9VM 🟡「希望の轍」/ "Trails of Hope" --- kzbin.infob3KpdO3IQ_I 🟢「マンピーのG★SPOT」/ "Manpee's G★SPOT" --- kzbin.infonrnVisFW-q8 🔵「涙のキッス」/ "Tears of Kiss" --- kzbin.infokyFEOF9d1uU * Each short video is a live performance footage of about 40-50 seconds. The number of audience members at the live venue is so large that it seems to exceed that of X-JAPAN's concert. As of 2019, Southern All Stars' total concert attendance has exceeded 7 million people, and they have released 927 songs. It's been five years since then, so I think both cumulative numbers have increased. It's an extraordinary number. Kuwata Keisuke-san is now 68 years old. 🔹A few years ago, Kuwata-san suffered from esophageal cancer and devoted himself to treatment. While Southern fans all over Japan were worried that he might lose his voice, he successfully overcame cancer and returned to music. These short videos are from his activities after the illness, and it seems that his voice volume has slightly decreased compared to before, but his groove and passion for music are still as good as ever, and they are quite wonderful. 🔹If you look at Kuwata Keisuke-san's Wikipedia page, you will see that it covers far more topics than the pages of historical figures, politicians, and other famous people, and the entries even cover the genre of "thought and philosophy," so you can see how much he has influenced and inspired Japanese people for many years. Unfortunately, and I think it's the policy of his management company, copyrights are very strict, and videos uploaded to the Internet are banned and deleted one after another. I know that some of my favorite artists have people with such policies, so I can't easily make requests. 😭🥹 Whether it's the policy of the agency, label company, tie-up company, or the artist themselves, there are various circumstances, but it's true that Amuse, the agency that Southern All Stars belongs to, is strict. So I refrained from making requests, but I feel like the situation is changing a little. Aside from whether you make a reaction video or not, I think it's possible to just listen to it, so I'll introduce one song that I recommend. I would like to recommend that you just listen to it. 🟣「愛の言霊」/ "Words of Love" * 言霊(ことだま):Soul of language/a word spirit kzbin.info/www/bejne/m37Uk6OigLx1sNE And several overseas KZbinrs are distributing Southern All Stars reaction videos. The content they use is live footage of the following songs. 「希望の轍」/ "Trail of Hope" --- kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3yYqYapbs91os0 You may be able to react to this song. 🌱🌈 If you like, you can just listen to it, and if you can make a reaction video, I think Southern All Stars fans, including me, will be happy. I'm sure there are many Southern fans among the viewers of this channel. 🤗👍🏻💕
