I have been clean for 6 years and know a lot of good people in the recovery community. The Savage Sisters are definitely committed to helping people with addiction. They go above and beyond and helped so many people get clean. They also saved many from fatally overdosing. They are a blessing to the community and this is not fair what the city is doing at all.

Outrageous!!! Asking a landlord to terminate a non profit's lease is reprehensible. They've saved countless lives and limbs. How dare an elected official make an overstep like this?

This is absolutely the wrong way to go about this. The council woman is misinformed. The addicts are shooting up, in plain view, on the streets, NOT in their store front. Do something about that!

They don’t ever see the bigger picture because these people are so short sighted. It’s just like when Pence killed needle exchange programs in Iowa, the HIV and Hepatitis rates started to increase dramatically. It’s like they believe if you remove hard reduction measures then people magically quit doing drugs. Until you give these people some kind of hope they’ll never stop.

This group is saving lives. We are choosing who has the to live and who should die. Am I in the city of Brotherly Love? There's more we can do in legislature. We don't stop loving people. Love will overcome money.

I feel this decision is based on ignorance. Having never seen the hard work and great lengths they go to. It's not limited to showers and wound care. They help with getting you in rehab, etc. Just to walk in and know that there is always an ear to listen to you, that sincerely cares. Being around them makes me want to do better. - Regina wollack

😢Thats so sad. They need a rehab or a inpatient program . To help them get off the streets. These people need help. Not jail! They need to do something about there homeless. They need more housing in this city. Caseworkers should be out there everyday getting these people resources. And than if they dont want to comit to the rules than maybe jail time.
