I grew up watching Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Yugioh. I was a big fan of both, and I had a lot of Yugioh cards when I was a kid. Dragon Ball was one of my inspirations for making manga.

I bought the first 3 volumes of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Manga as a tribute to Kazuki Takahashi. As I was going to buy the manga, I looked behind to the other shelf which contained both the Berserk and Dragon Ball Mangas weeks before knowing the recent passing of Akira Toriyama.

This video hits on all fronts: 1) Best tribute you can imagine. 2) I never thought about drawing full illustrations in a vector program. I use InkScape and I felt kinda restricted, so I thought my raster drawings in Clip Studio Paint were the way to go. But I love the way you put these characters together like it's a puzzle. 3) Using your own 'logo' as an artist instead of a signature. It's also something I should work on. Although I'm just an amateur drawing for fun and to relax, nowhere near the level you're on right now. But I want to say, big thank you ! For the relaxing video.

Also why you don't do the flats the easy way of one big rectangle, select both line work and rectangle and just pathfinder substraction?
