I do like both russian made 7 o'clock blades. The Nacet was right behind for me. But due to the higher cost I optioned for the Nacet. I got 500 out of Jordan for under 40 USD shipped. I'm happy to finaly found the blade that gives me constant shaves. Always enjoy your videos Ken.

I purchased a 1959 fat boy last week. I love it but find it to be a mild shave even on the higher settings. I'll have to try different blades to see if that helps.

Great shave Ken and that looked like a really nice comfortable resort you stayed at. 65 degrees is warm for me right now but I know how those Santa Anna winds are and in that kind of weather, they are like a dull razor blade (no pun intended, bahahahaha). I have this soap and it's awesome. I often pair it with either Pinaud's Virgini Island Bay Rum or some left over Soap Commander Purpose which was their bay rum scented balm. When the word of this new 2020 fatboy gets out, it will go fast. Oh I am now back to using straight razors. Both of my last shaves was perfect.

The website didn't say what materials but did say it was the exact dimensions and weight as the original. All parts made in India and assembly in North America. I'm assuming a zinc alloy bit we all know what assuming does lol.

Hey Ken could you make a video specifically focusing on below the chin ? I always have trouble and miss often the finer hairs even after multiple passes

It's almost impossible to get rid of 100% of the hairs underneath the chin unless you do 12 passes and try 36 different angles. But you don't want to do that unless your skin is immune to razor burn aha

Try a more aggressive razor. If you go aggressiveness enough, it will definitely get it all in two passes with a minimal clean up pass.

Atomic bay rum was one of my first purchases from PAA. It’s super great for summer time. Match it with the EDP he makes as well. Think I’m on my second bottle of it already. I believe I heard Doug say in a KZbin video somewhere that he was inspired by the burts bees bay rum after shave (discontinued) but you can still find it sometimes on eBay which is quite pricey

The reason the Fatboys, or the official name The 195 Adjustable, are so popular is that they were only manufactured from 1958-1961. The Slim Adjustables were manufactured from very late 1961-1968. In 1969, the 109 super adjustable and 84 super adjustable also known as the Black Beauty, started being made. That Fatboy was just an amazing razor with incredible smoothness!! I can't wait to see how the replicas are made! My only question is...if they are going to me made just like the original, did Global Shave have to gain permission to do so from Gillette?? What if Gillette wanted to reproduce its original Fatboy?? Just curious.

We'll get it right. I went into this business to one day remake the Fat Boy, my favourite razor. It is a great razor. We are well on the way to deliver the replica. It will be very close to the original. We have improved some of the internal parts by making them out of steel rather than brass.

I bought a vintage 25.6 oz bottle of brut by faberge off ebay. Its the same size as that big bottle you just got.. like I said this was the vintage stuff,not the new stuff. Arrived just tonight. The post office put the box in a plastic bag because they managed to crush the glass bottle and destroy it.. kinda heartbreaking. Very expensive to get that bottle.. those huge vintage bottles are bringing $200..

I do not have the fatboy but the slim is the best razor for everyday shaving. The higher settings might be a bit mild for very thick beard but it is good.
