@@av2484 A reasonable question. I would say the repeated telling of stories would make them well known and their legendary creatures would acquire reputations. Like the trolls in traditional Scandinavian tales or Darth Vader in the Star Wars franchise. Does the use of these stories mean that these beings really existed? No, although they also do not mean they did NOT exist. However the lack of evidence of their physical reality does call them into question. I include the Wikipedia article on dragons addressing the history of a wide variety of serpentine creatures in civilizations that have at some point been called dragons. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon And yes, one might argue that the repeated presence of these tales of creatures called dragons all over the planet might suggest that there is an original kernel of truth in the legends. I'm very cautious about modern theologians, in trying to get their phd's they seem to just make stuff up, and their conclusions are really speculations. Melchizedek can't be Shem because Heb 7:3 says Without father, without mother, without decent (at least in the biblical record), but we know Shem's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Noah, and his descendants are listed in Genesis 10 & 11 and 1 Chron 1. We should trust the Bible, even when we don't understand it.

Jews changed the scripture to make Shem appear to be Melchizedek. By moving Shem's life back to the normal age for all men post Flood brings all other Biblical and secular history in line by adding 300 years to total time line. It is sorta complex but really makes sense. One would need to watch the video to understand. I too am very cautious of modern theologians but some are spot . For instance Wayne Grudem is an excellent theologian and is correct ( I feel ) on most doctrine on old and new testament but he dropped the ball on The Gap Theory which literally destroys 6 day creation and Adam and Eve and therefore the entirety of all of Scripture.

The elephant-like species have been the largest land animals for a long time. Some say it's a hippopotamus. There are also various translations. It could have a deeper symbolic meaning.

@@stevedyches4635 l have to trust the experts analysis of carbon14 dating tests etc and trust that the testing I methods themselves are reliable just to entertain some of the conclusions that modern science has came to. I believe academia is very biased. A few months ago I was pondering how the apostle john could have known how a dragon speaks seeing that he wrote in Revelation that a certain beast he saw had horns like a lamb but it spoke as a dragon. I thought, seeing dragons are fictitious he must have been given the knowledge some other way. Interestingly there's an early speech synthesis program that is the basis of many other similar programs, which also are the fundamental elements of AI learning methods. It's name is dragon naturally speaking. So technically if AI uses dragon naturally speaking it would be speaking like a dragon and technically fulfill the prophecy. But I no longer believe dragons are fictitious. To many historical records stating the opposite. And if the Bible says the tails were as big as trees, they more than likely weren't bonsais.

It's interesting to hear about the sightings people have had of dinosaurs throughout the years. It's easily for me to believe aquatic creatures like this still exist because the flood would not have necessarily killed creatures like those. I live in the piedmont region of North Carolina and I grew up in a small farming community in the 80's and 90's. Several years ago i was riding back in the woods either on my pick up or an ATV and I spotted a strange looking creature. Just guessing it was about 2-3 feet tall and stood on 2 legs and had arms like that of what a velociraptor looks like in the movies. It kind of reminded me of what the raptors look like in the movies only very thin. E.g. if someone gives you a gift, they don’t have the right to come back later and say, “hey, I need that back”. So, if God gives you a gift that lasts forever, how many times do you have to get it? Only one time. And once you have it, it’s yours to keep. People have this idea that in order to go to Heaven, you have to do good works. It’s good to go to church, it’s good to be a baptised, it’s good to repent of your sins etc. - But if I have to do those things to go to Heaven, then it’s not a gift. Because a gift by definition is free. And they said, *Believe* on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.’ (Acts 16:31) Once someone puts their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, their sins are forgiven past, present and future. They’ve been given eternal life and is saved forever (from hell). A saved Christian can never lose their Salvation, even they do something bad (e.g. if they rob a bank and kill someone). God will never take away their Salvation. Those who are saved become a Child of God: ‘For ye are all the children of God by *faith* in Christ Jesus.’ (Galatians 3:26) What if a Christian keep disobeying God? God will punish his children. If you do a small sin you’ll get a small punishment, if you do a big sin you’ll get a big punishment, on this earth. But God will NEVER send His child to Hell. If your son or daughter breaks the rules, you’re going to discipline them. But they’ll always be your child. Even if they begin to doubt that their your child. Even if they begin to hate you. That wouldn’t change their DNA. Once God is your father, once you’re a child of God - you will always be a child of God. But He will discipline you. ‘For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.’ (Hebrews 12:6) If you believe it’s possible to lose your salvation - *you are NOT saved.* What you’re basically saying is that you have to DO something to STAY saved. You have to maintain some level of morality (do good works or not do bad things). The very idea of losing your salvation IS a works-based salvation. False prophets may say, “you don’t have to do any works to get saved, but you’ll lose it if you don’t do the work.” You’re still working to get to Heaven at that point. They’ll say, “if you do something bad then God’s going to take it away from you” - basically what their saying is, you have to keep the commandments in order to STAY saved. In Galatians, keeping the commandments is called the works of the law, and we’re not justified by the works of the law. We are justified by faith in Jesus Christ. ‘Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by *faith* without the deeds of the law.’ (Romans 3:28) ‘Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath *everlasting life.’* (John 6:47) If I lose my salvation, it didn’t last forever, it wasn’t everlasting. You can’t have everlasting life temporarily, that’s an oxymoron. 👉If you are reading this, I insist you to watch a Gospel Presentation on KZbin, because to be saved, you need someone to preach to you.
