He played the best rookie, he pulled off being a young smart, moral Policeman without any experience, and it worked with Marty in such a magical way, I certainly appreciate the entire formula of the show, now that I'm in my 40's post military career.

I loved how Jim Reed would sit in the passenger's seat and spot people breaking into cars or phonebooths or whatever. He had an eagle eye. Great show. Enjoying the hell out of the reruns on MeTV during this time of quarantine. Ah, LA in the late 60's, early 70's!

Kent looks so happy and well. I just started a re-watch of Adam-12, which I’ve not seen in decades. I don’t remember many of the early episodes so I’m seeing many episodes for what feels like the first time. I’m impressed and pleasantly surprised by the range of issues explored, from the violence of sexual assault and pedophilia to racially-motivated violent crimes to officer-involved shootings to social protest... nothing seems taboo, and everything feels relevant. Of course, at the heart of Adam-12 was the unique and deeply felt bond btw partners, and the friendship formed btw Kent and Marty fueled the entire series. They portrayed the ideal street cops, flawed but fundamentally decent men with compassion and humanity and fairness. In a cluttered television landscape in which the audience often roots for the anti-hero, we still need programming like Adam-12 in which the protagonists are genuine heroes. Thank you to Kent McCord and the late, great Martin Milner (and Jack Webb and R.A.Cinader) for setting such a high standard.

Thank you for the video. The interviewer was fine. He let Mr. Mccord talk. I really love Adam12 partly because the two actors were class acts and liked each other. You can tell Kent McCord was an athlete in the show. I watched him scale a fence like he was floating over it, backed the video up to make sure it was him and not a stunt double, and it was really him. Very agile and strong when he was young. And looks like he could still do it. He is a very good interviewee, here. Has good stories. Anyway, again I appreciate the person doing the interviewing. He was respectful and encouraged the storytelling.

Great interview and glad to see Kent McCord doing so well. I wish the interviewer had asked a question and then let McCord answer rather than giving a running commentary and countless praises throughout the interview. The interviewer literally overshadows Kent being allowed to talk. But to be realistic, I am also a talker and I know in my enthusiasm at meeting him, I probably would have been running off at the mouth being star struck as well. We are just so enthused to see our childhood idols. Still, all in all, a great interview. McCord has held up well over the years.

At Kent's age you're doing good if you still all your hair. If he dyed it he would still very much look the way he did a half century ago. I was in my 20's when my hair started to go. I ended up with that same little narrow patch sticking out in the front that Phil Collins used to have in his younger years, and just like Phil's, mine's disappearing too. There is one benefit..... it's way easier to care for :>) My two all-time favorite police dramas are Adam-12 and Miami Vice, both of which defined the decade in which they were made.

Becoming good friends with Ricky Nelson, Ozzie liked using local kids for his TV show: Ozzie and Harriett and so during that football game Ozzie discovered Kent McCord! His acting career started as playing one of Ricky Nelson's friends on the Ozzie and Harriet Show! Between 1961 and 1965, besides appearing on The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet (1952).
