It's not just making amends. Just watch him interact with his former wife you can see he still cares and she seems to be opening up more now. I was taken aback by some of the things in the earlier videos. Seeing this video today, I am very happy for them. Sometimes, we have to live with hand we are dealt with. Life is too short. Good luck to everyone.

Well done for bringing everyone together - keep it up. Your daddy is a man of little words, but I sense he is saying that he is sorry for being absent all this while. Your mum is graceful, beautiful and has raised beautiful children. Absolutely, love your brother. Bless Kento, he has an amazing sense of humor and is the rock of your family. Beautiful family, i schooled in the Northern part of Nigeria, University of Maiduguri precisely, and i love the Hausa's with passion, unfortunately am not based in Naija right now,the Hausa in bashir came out when he wore that native attire, your father is a nice man, who must be having some regrets, but believe you me, its rare at that time to have an hausa man move to the state, 30 years ago!!! That's almost impossible, the Yoruba's travel and settle, but for an Hausa, its not the same, however, he shouldn't have neglected his kids, but again, the way things work in Northern Nigeria is quite weird, if your father wasn't educated, am sure he will never look back about meeting you guyz again, they usually have this mindset that once a child is gone, then so be it, the culture played a role in all of this, but thank God for the reunion, such a beautiful family you've gat, and hopefully we get to see your other brother with papa someday soon......your daughter is always shy!!winks.....God bless your home.

Glad you shared your story.l believed your mom did wrong from moving you all to the US without your dad knowing, but st the same time l know he will object to you all leaving nothing Nigeria. I will do as he did.l know where he is coming from because lm hausa and been living in the USA for more than 30years. I'm on your side for not contacting his kids. I was happy for you all that your dad is in your life and you have accepted him.You never spoke hausa have you forgotten the language? I heard your dad speaking hausa..what l want to know are your parents back together? Is she moving back to kano?

I agree with you more sheyee . Judging this father in my African perspective, this father is a very humble and loving father. No other African men can do this. Once the wife is gone it's easy for African man to forget his children. I'm South Africa women and I tell you this father has gone an extra mile to fix his wrongs that he did in his early years. I'm happy for you guys. Hope you will get time to heal and forgive him

Wow ! This is so interesting. I am a Nigerian and I enjoyed your story. I cried because I feel you are telling my story. Life is very hard on the first male child in Nigeria as a whole. Not only in the northern part. Habibat, you are an angel. GOD protected you for this family. What you did by uniting the family is highly commendable. You have the purest heart and that shows in your own nuclear family. As for dad and Bashir, men feel and show emotions differently. By the special grace of GOD, they will mend their ways. I have hope even for Omar, I mean your other brother. Your dad may not tell you what he went through after you left for U.S. They are brought up like that and that is so sad. He must have gone through untold humiliation, suffering and unimaginable " monitoring " that you will not believe can exist in this lifetime. When I say monitoring, I mean monitoring. They will seize his passport, monitor his life to ensure he had no contact with you guys when you were in U.S. I thank GOD for your lives, even if he was in your life, you may not have ended up this great. And look at mom! Oh my GOD, she looks like a trillion dollars even better. No wrinkle, all teeth set, no paralyses, just give GOD the glory and enjoy this while it lasts in Jesus name

Thank you for sharing that beautiful family reunion with us. All i can say after watching all the vlogs about your dad is that as a west African, leaving in west Africa, i can understand that the difference of culture is the main reason your parents' marriage didn't work. Your father could have at least tried to stay connected to you his children but i can imagine all he went through when you guys left for the US. All of u suffered a lot and i pray that this will be the beginning of your healing . May God bless u all.
