I swear by my 40 year old coleman petrol stove, I don't know what I like more - the deafening roar or how gloriously alive I feel wondering if it's going to explode and engulf me in flames at any moment. Good bits of kit

I haven't gone camping since I was a kid, though we had a pop up camper. I'm poor and physically disabled, so I don't think it's going to happen without a lot of help, but watching your videos is the next best thing! They're very relaxing to watch.

I am disabled too. My family loves camping. Now days I mostly use commercial equipment because it's easier and we nearly always use campsites with facilities for disabled but never say never! I learned how to camp as a kid and have loved it ever since. I have to say a weekend without tech is the best thing for kids.

The way we always ate roasted marshmallows was as follows. Toast the outside all around until it was almost burnt. Let it cool a moment then pull it off the inner untoasted part. Eat the toasted outer shell and toast the remaining marshmallow still on the stick. Your meal looked delicious. Hope your finger is healing ok. Thanks for posting.

Holding things too close to axe work is a good way to shorten a finger, did that as a teenager, I shortened my finger about an eight of an inch or less, just enough to get down to nerves, but not quite enough to do any permanent damage... it was a memorable event that I learned from... not even a scar but very painful. I don't tend to do that with axes anymore.
