Something I always find myself appreciating about all these camping videos people make, is the kind of cinematography needed to get the shots we the viewers see. Not even a minute into the video, you know he had to get out, set up his cameras, and get the shots of his truck driving. He had to notice the unbroken ice, think "Oh that'll look great for a shot!" set up his camera, and film the truck driving over the ice patch before packing the camera back up to carry on. That has to add so much time to the actual camping trip, time which could and probably should be spent setting up camp, planning, etc etc. Bravo for going that extra mile to make a fun to watch video!
@dalelc435 ай бұрын
Packing the camera back up probably was throw the whole thing still setup onto the back seat. He's only going to have to get it out again, no need to pack it up after every shot.

Ikr? I always pay attention especially when they have drones and are flying them high above as they drive away and hopefully don't crash/lose the drone somewhere. I would rather just be enjoying my experience than worrying about lugging a camera around and trying to get the "best shot".

That's a neat little stove/oven combo. I had something similar about 30 years ago, but it was a more permanent thing in a small fishing shack. One thing I can say is it's nice to see someone start a fire properly. I have been greatly amused seeing some of these Korean campers lately. Aside from taking what I would assume is their entire apartment from the city with them, they have these fire pits and stoves that they typically cram as much half-logs and sticks in as possible, then blast it with a butane torch. I lost it this weekend when I saw this video of one of them actually pulling a flamethrower out and using it to start the stove.

Hi Andy, I just found your channel the other day and have been binge. watching. My boys and i love camping but haven't done it in a while due to a group of young kids breaking into our house a few times. They spent 3 days cleaning us out while we were away at my foster father's funeral. My neighbours thought they were here moving us to go help my foster mother with all the kids. When we got back, they felt so bad they didn't call us or the police. We have been fighting and trying to replace everything they stole and trying to fix our car they damaged. All our TV'S, consoles, computers, Samsung tablets, chest freezer, new unboxed freezer, fridge, my motorised wheelchair, medication, medical equipment, medication, our oxygen and so much more. They took our sos kits we use to make, our emergency boxes, tools, and our trailers. One trailer was our favourite we just finished which we had set up with all our camping equipment including a 14ft boat and fishing gear. The other trailer was full of my wood working equipment and the last trailers was empty. We haven't been able to replace anything due to medical bills and other expenses. We still i one person that stays awake every night because we are worried they will come back, which they have tried over the last 2yrs multiple times and haven't been successful in finding any of ourcstuff this. So devastating, and we miss going camping. But we watch your videos as a family activity,. We don't go camping anymore but when we do get everything together we will start again. Thank you for all your hard work to bring us how you camp in the Uk. We are in Queensland Australia

Reminded me of times long ago making blueberry muffins on out Coleman stove and the separate fold up cooktop oven. I’m a bit disappointed though that this expensive tent has no sewn in floor! My Mum took me camping as a toddler until I became an adult. Then I raised my children camping as well. Now they take their children camping. Better memories than when we vacationed in hotels. The setup you used was great but w the cold I’d be saying please light the stove and make me coffee? lol this was my third video of yours and it seems to really relax me.
