I predicted 23-8 regular season. The absolute worst thing that could happen to this team was to be ranked so high so fast. Rankings are stupid in December anyway. But I understand why they were ranked 4th they hadn't lost. They have to have 25 teams ranked. Beating up on cupcakes and winning a pick em game against Duke didn't change my mind. 23-8 would be a outstanding year playing in a conference that is the best it's ever been in history. Ceiling for this team is the sweet 16. Always has been. Sweet 16 would be a amazing year with a team patched together at the last minute. The future is very bright at Kentucky.

I love it man, I’m not sure where the negativity is at? I really haven’t read anything too outrageous from everyday fans about a loss. There’s the usual detractors being negative, but man, we went into their gym with a team that was put together in minutes and nearly won our first road game. I’m excited for UK and Mark Pope, come on boys, last year we would’ve already lost to a cupcake mid-major team, this is improvement.

Tough first road test. In a nutshell, we shot the ball poorly and Clemson made or had a handful of breaks go their way. Can't beat a good team on the road when this happens. Bummed but not particularly discouraged as a Cats fan.

The ball has been sticking a lot with a few of the players. Weve kind of gotten away from moving the ball, hard cuts, and trusting each other. Gonna need to get this corrected pretty quickly. Gonzaga is a lot like Clemson, but bigger and faster.

Clemson shot poorly as well, so it's not just missed shots for UK. If you imagine something different for one team, then you must accept the possibility that the other team could have played better as well, which is true. People need to understand Brad Brownell is a great coach and respect his teams accordingly. Clemson recruits moderately well for a non-basketball school (not nearly elite), then adds key transfers to fit Brownell's system, and finally coaches them up to a much higher standard.

For elbowing Brea in the head. Was clearly a flagrant. But you don't get those calls on the road at times. There's no doubt in my mind that I'd the played in Rupp or even a neutral Court. UK would win by at least 10

THIS IS THE SIMPLE REASON KY LOST: BUTLER ONLY 19 MINUTES. For KY to be great he has to play 30 to 35 minutes per game. Krissa is awful on offense and defense.

This felt like every time UK goes down to South Carolina and if the refs aren't allowing much freedom of movement and the shots aren't falling you lose. My only big issue is Kerr Kriisa really hasnt been getting it done. UK needs him to make front ends of one & ones and hit the occasional three and at least play solid team defense. But we have Travis Perry waiting his turn if Kerr continues struggling.

Fantastic Loss for our Wildcats! It helps our Wildcats and Coaches in general to see the weaknesses we need to improve upon and fix. Some of what we saw tonight we saw during the Duke game … but winning that game helped mask those weaknesses! THIS should make it very clear we need to keep our “egos in check” and work harder to fix our weaknesses! This would have eventually happen to our Wildcats and an SEC team would have beat us down by 10-15 if we played against a Tennessee or Alabama tonight! Yeah I wasn’t impressed by Clemson at all. A few calls go UKs way, a few shots go UKs way, and we win by 8+.

The last 3 games, UK's point guard has been picked up and pressed 94 feet. This has severely disrupted our pace and ability to initiate our offense. In previous games, we typically crossed mid court within 3 to 4 seconds and had a good shot up with 15 seconds left on the shot clock. Now, the last 3 games, we are essentially walking the ball up against this full court pressure and not crossing half court until 8 seconds or so have elapsed. Secondarily, opposing defenses are aggressively denying the first and second passes in the various actions. Now, in the past 3 games, most of our shots are coming in the last 10 seconds of the shot clock. So, an adjustment begs to be made to counter this full court press on our point guard. There are several counters and I'm sure Coach Pope will make them eventually. But I'm surprised that 3 games in... no successful adjustment has yet been made. Gonzaga and Mark Few will surely continue to exploit this strategy.

Having said that you get outplayed and can't get shots you still have a chance, set better screens and create your shot when a bucket is needed, and low post guys need to react quicker to the ball when shot.

Its really simple for me.. Its their rebounding. If they lose the rebounding battle, they lose the game. They really got smacked in 1st half on the boards and it cost them significantly! Shooting lots of 3s means lots of long rebounds... Got to get 2nd chance points to build momentum and control pace.

The officials Definitely let Clemson do what they wanted and called fouls on UK that they wouldn't have on Clemson the entire game .there is a reason Clemson hasn't lost an out of conference game in over 5 years. They play physical basketball and UK should have matched their physicality instead of looking at the refs every time they got bumped they probably win the game. And I don't understand why pope didn't have Brea in more in the last minutes, even if he doesn't get a shot off or touch, just him being on the floor opens up the court. If I'm Pope I'm playing Brea Alot more the rest of the year. We beat Duke early, if you think there was anyway for UK to walk out of that gym with a win you’re foolin yourself. We were ranked #4 when we should’ve been ranked #8-10, the ACC had to save face and UK didn’t go into the bonus until the last 2 minutes of the game, despite the fact that every time a UK player was under the basket there were Clemson bodies swarming him, you go the other way, a Clemson player drives to the basket and a UK player looks at him hard it was a foul called. Early in the game the color commentator gave it up, he said this isn’t Rupp and calls aren’t going to go your way, let’s see how KY handles that. Told me all I needed to know, he made a huge deal about the ACC being down bad and how this is historic for the SEC to be 8-0 in the challenge. UK would’ve had to have won by 20 to have won by 1 last night.

this isnt same old historic clemson and many tigers fans expected to win the game. It went as I expected it to go with the game being in Clemson. Brownell has used the portal well last few years to grab some older players to go with a few already good players. Clemson went to Elite 8 last year and added some defense. Impressive clemson won with hunter and chef only going 6-28 overall, including 1-12 from 3. Transfer portal guys made a big difference for clemson. This is not a bad loss for kentucky and cats fans shouldn't feel like it. I guess that's my point.

The refs cost us the game without question. The refs called 6 fouls on Clemson in the last 30 minutes of the game, and a ticky tacky foul in the last seconds that kept us from shooting a three. We shot terribly, but we won that game. The over the backs that weren’t called on that #4 were a travesty of justice.

If our guys can't get near them to defend, but on the opposite end, Clemson sure can claw away, that Never allows the guys to feel they can defend very closely!!
