One thing I've noticed with DAB stations in general from my "Makita builders radio" is that only the BBC stations in my area seem to have high bitrate audio, some of the others I checked like Planet Rock have like 40 k/bits AAC and others are upto 128k/bits, which is fine for general listening but certainly not as clear as a raw FM radio station. I think some people assume DAB is all high quality audio, whereas internet streams from a phone would probably sound better via an in-car bluetooth FM transmitter.

I have an amplifier and therefore the only choice out of all of these is the Kenwood KDC-BT960DAB as it is the only one with 5Volts pre out RCA. I currently have a Pioneer MVH-S310BT which I will throw out of the car as I am not satisfied with it and it also only has 2Volts pre out.

What my only problem when you guys do these radios? You don't show the base meds and treble. All you just do go through it quickly I want to know. Does this have individual base made and treble the old-fashioned way?

It is the pregen of the 960. Pretty much the same except extra features missing such as Alexa.

To be honest compared to these days with iphone carplay and android auto with the big touch screens instead of "tiny little hard to see little buttons u can barely see" not my words but my 20yr old car mad music mad nephew, these units and others like them it's like stepping back into the 70,s and complete junk so should be thrown in the bin.....
