Kenya 2022 : After The Rain in Mtwapa

A walk in the more peaceful part of Mtwapa. The roads are not paved and after a Heavy rainfall it can be hard to walk or drive on them due to puddles. This video was filmed while I was staying at the Prestige Apartments in Mtwapa.

We were there for a couple of weeks at the prestige Hotel during that rainy season. The lady in the pool, I saw her several times, exchanged greetings... Lol. Nice, clean place, with wonderful friendly staffs. I had alot of fun walking around, going to different places, and never did I feel the insecurity we have in Nairobi. The night life was interesting, just seeing people moving around at night freely,

I was in Prestige for a Month , I think i left on the 2nd July , I remember the Lady in the Swimming pool , I was in Room 212 , i was in that room for a month also in February , I really , really Like the Hotel , the staff are excellent , especially the Lady in Red in the Restaurant and Charity the Lady on Reception , I got on well with the Owner also .

Shows poor drainage quality of the roads by the county administration..there's no side walks but rapid construction of newer buildings in haphazard manner ..with nowhere to go the rain water just stagnates creating a fertile breeding ground for mosquitoes which results in another health crisis..it's an endemic problem all over Kenya especially in the suburbs and small towns.. something needs to change especially forcing the county leaders to take action by the public...
