Certainly they must be another way to pay the debt other than going to IMF to get indebted more. What about reducing the size of the cabinet? Reducing the number of staff in embassies abroad? Simply scale down on government spending, and reducing ministerial salaries, starting with the President himself. Maybe Kenya should take a cue from the Minister of finace of Jamaica 🇯🇲, the Honorable Dr. Nigel Clark; no new taxes for straight 8 years yet the economy is in the best shape it has ever been in. I recommend that Kenya's finance minister give him a call and get some valuable advice from him.

Andrew - it always pays to understand a situation before commenting! You are terribly ill informed of what is happening in Kenya. We have a situation where Ruto has overrun all government institutions to perpetuate his weird ideas. Never mind that Kenyans never elected him in the first place. Please note 98% of Kenyans had rejected that Finance Bill before it was pushed down their throat through that fake Parliamentary process. After this we want deal with parliament.

My friend, the way you are talking shows you ignorance concerning Kenyan law and constitution. You can't bring Ugandan confusion in Kenya. The members of Parliament voted against the will of the people. That is why they are in the streets. People want to pay taxes but we don't see what those taxes are doing apart from making politicians rich.
