Good interview I think African and African diaspora we need to tell our own stories and share foods with each others. We need to work together as people here in the west and on the continent. We need to do businesses help each others to move forward. We might have differences and way of doin things but we are strong if we work together. I always tell people nobody well help we the black people if we don't help ourselves period. I freaking love Swahili Village. Haven't been to the one in DC, just the one in Beltsville. Love it!!! That fried tilapia, the mokimo, the greens, and the chapti are my favorites, but it's all good. Anyone who's never been there should GO! You will love the food, the decor, and the music. Will make you feel like you're on vacation. Just a really good vibe in there. Also, really surprised to hear there's no salt in the food. It has so much flavor. I would have never guessed that.
