As a private pilot of many years I have learned much about aviation, specifically about how aerodynamics works and how lift is generated. It's not just about power to weight ratios but also about the chord of the wing (width, just back from the leading edge). The shape of the chord dictates how much the wing can lift, given a host of factors; dihedral, sweep, engine power and prop thrust, drag on the airframe, overall weight and balance etc. I seriously doubt this guy considered ANY of these critical factors ALONE , let alone combine it all to make it fly. Why would anyone encourage such ineptitude?
@bossdog14805 жыл бұрын
Using old deck chairs for the rudder and tailplanes is an absolute stroke of genius. Probably needs more bent nails in the end of the wings though. The petrol tank looks really secure on top of the wing held down with tape, Perfect position in case of a crash, it will douse the pilot with petrol and put out the flames. I don't think this guy is really serious about flying. If he took the money he spent on all of his planes and helicopters he would probably have enough to build one good one. .

@marcteigh86336 жыл бұрын
Yes, the wings *can* generate lift BUT it is the engine that creates the power to propel the aircraft through the air with sufficient power to cause the airflow past the wings to generate lift. Or in the case of a rotating wing device like an helicopter, the power to cause the wing to rotate fast enough that, once again, airflow past the wing creates lift. If the engine cannot rotate the wing fast enough then it sits quite firmly on the ground. This is why planes with big wings don't take off when the engine is switched off. That is also basic "shit".

Oh hardly, most countries have provisions for light home built aircraft. Here in the USA for example under part 103 you can do basically anything you want as long as you stay under a certain weight, speed, and fuel load and fly within some pretty basic restrictions. You don't even need a pilots license under 103. Irrelevant in this case though, he is nowhere *near* being able to fly. Build a glider first, wood, fabric, and wire, substitute aluminum for the wood if you can afford it. Once that works start worrying about the engine. This guy has vastly more resources than any of the pioneers of aviation and getting it about as right as a 6yr old putting on a cape and jumping off the couch while flapping his arms.

Interesting. By your assertion the entire English language needs to be reworked. Take a cup, for example. If i throw the cup against the ground and it breaks into a thousand shards, can it be said to be a 'broken cup?' According to you, no. IT can no longer perform the function of a cup, therefore it isn't a cup, therefore it can not be referred to as a 'broken cup' because it is no longer a cup. It can't be be simply 'broken' either, because it no longer is what it is. So John Moore what shall we call cups that are no longer cups? What shall we call umbrellas that are no longer umbrelleas? What shall we call an aircraft that is an incomplete aircraft? This is a plane. Yes, It isn't a finished plane, but it is still a plane nonetheless. Stop being so judgmental. Why don't you go to kenya and try to build your own plane from scratch? Try doing that while learning what you know from google. Good luck buddy. See if you can do a better job.. you prick

Now I don't know much about aviation, but calling him an innovator is a bit of a stretch, as the innovations he is striving for were already made over 100 years ago. Trying to reinvent something that has already undergone 100 years of improvement is not innovation.

The innovator is god. Who created the bird. Who humans ripped flight from. You think we invented flight LOL

Funny that suddenly all KZbinrs have become consultant Aeronautical Engineers!

It does not take an aircraft engineer to spot several major problems with his design. He can try all he wants, that hunk of crap will never get off the ground. What he really needs to put is effort towards is finding the guy who sold him those suits and shoot his ass!
