Glad you brought up the NFL. As you said, they have stayed true to the game. I can not think of a longer stop / start game on the planet that comes close to NFL. They stop and start that game for 3 hours, yet the fans show up in numbers week in and week out. The theory that changing all these rules to gain an extra 2 minutes of ball in hand in Union because that's what the fans want, its rubbish. Who are these fans? Sir JK perhaps?

Bundie tackle vs flyhalf headclash: “Why do we have speed limits? I was driving 180 and had a minor accident but what about that driver who was going 80 and killed a pedestrian? If the law doesn’t focus on the consequence of the collision it’s a bad law.” That’s bloody stupid. We take speeding seriously because it substantially increases the possibility of debilitating injury. We take headshots seriously because it substantially increases the possibility of debilitating injury. How much head trauma must you have suffered to not understand that?

You do realise warren and dwane rooled the roost for almost 8 years now its elrich and that fat guy. Why bring in a 8 when our imediate worries is more important positions where we need to build depth especially for the older guys, elrich was picked into dwanes spot he now needs to grow and dwane is there to help him. No point you have two young guys who rotate when you need one to be really good and not both to be average. I also think he will play 6 as Bok 10s usually has height for the sweeper role when the enemy does the box kick.

I have been watching you guys for a while and agree the URC was the right choice for south Africa's top sides. Now that super rugby is suffering and Australia and NZ know it I believe Rassie should push for the cheetas, ep kings and griquas to join super rugby, give them the funding stop sharks from poaching players instead of developing players. Get Rassie and his super coach team to assist them in conquering the super rugby. Then the currie cup would be A special again. Super rugby vs URC

Sa is moving away from small backs, we saw in that semi the reach helped england with the box kicks and tap backs. Jan-Hendrik Wessels is the definition of a bolter. Yes, he was in the RC squad, but he’s young and most would say way too raw for test rugby.
@arnocrous2793Күн бұрын
I reckon at the beginning of the year Rassie would have wanted to answer some questions about the players and the game plan. He probably now has answers for most of his questions around the players but there are still some big questions remaining around the game plan. To answer these he probably needs to test it with the full (or nearly full) strength team. And our opponents on this tour will also provide a good variety of styles to test the game plan against.

Yeah but that was when we had a simple play style, in an att style you need combos and players to have played together a lot. We saw how that 20y old french wing with 10 caps couldnt catch 1 high ball and was continually out of position when the ball went up. Boks never want to make that mistake.
@Kid_SenekalКүн бұрын
@@JohnTerblanche-l1r Kurt-Lee went to the RWC with 10 caps behind his name as well. But I agree, new attacking shape needs more cohesion and familiarity. Also the Age vs. # of Caps balance... Enough experience and not "too old" (Eng 03 vs Eng 07)

27:41 the problem for calling for some type of reward/punitive system for refs is that its not exactly like rugby refs are pouring out of the heavens and its not an easy job to start with. The level of subjectivity is such that its a bit like boxing or mma decisions that go to judges, its not often that the losing side would be happy with the result. We DO want a standard of course but its just not so cut n dried (its just not biltong mate). Perhaps the 20 min red with a replacement allowed back on is a good thing in this regard.
@roelofmalherbe8830Күн бұрын
Keo & Zels, why is it not allowed for a penalty tap or quick tap to be taken in front of the penalty spot, but is allowed for kickers going for touch line, to sometimes overstep the mark (some like up to 2-4 meters!!) significantly? I would like that to be changed. The rule should be the ball has to leave the kicker foot behind the mark. They already have the advantage of a penalty, now they 'stealing' additional ground!
