Keola Tallett is an O’ahu born, Big Island based, singer-songwriter, who’s local Hawaiian reggae vibes started at a young age. Playing ‘ukulele kanikapila style and singing karaoke helped to develop his vocal range. He first started writing lyrics after attending a poetry class in 2005, where the focus naturally built towards creating original music. He accredits his talent to being open to the creative energy in nature and often utilizes blue space to play, sing, and songwrite. Keola released his first digitally mastered single with Ikaakamai in July 2021 entitled “ʻOnipaʻa”.
At Haku Collective, our mission is to build and sustain a thriving creative network telling the most authentic stories of Hawaiʻi. These are are our Artists to Watch, a new collective of young Artists in Hawaiʻi that we mentor through programs like our Melecraft Mentoring Program.
