Another tip: don’t worry too much about capping on runic power unless you’re low on runes.

Yep. It’s generally more important to spend runes than to spend runic power. Aside from keeping up a few maintenance buffs.

I have been playing Wotlk Classic for past 6 months and hadn't played retail since BfA. It seems like the class rotations have become a joke. The original DK playstyle was already easy, with 3 presences and different types of runes. It made things somewhat challenging. Now the player just needs to mash Oblit, use HB procs, and occasionally dump RP with FS. Oh, of course there's some cooldowns to pop while you're busy mashing 1, maybe 2 buttons. It's a shame because I want to check out Dragonflight and like some of the quality of life features that have been added, especially transmogs, but as someone who has played since Vanilla nearly 20 years ago (crazy to think about), the skill cap has been destroyed.

Yeah as a new player who has played both Warrior and Mage on max level, DK feels so easy to play and doesn't feel like it has any uniqueness for some reason. The runic power seems so useless when all you use is spend runes on cooldown. What is even the point of runic power when you are going to use it like once or twice in a fight.

idk dude imo frost is super fun to play and there’s plenty of much harder specs to play. I think having a couple of easy specs to play is rather healthy for the game than unhealthy.

@@dennisflanders1957 it's not hard to understand. The original playstyle, while easy compared to the classes which require far more inputs per rotation, still offered somewhat of a challenge and had a rhythm that needed to be mastered to really excel. Now it's been stripped of that and could probably be played well by a clicker.
