Only kerala is good place for westerners because portughese arrived 400 years ago ? Not sure but they came and made everyone christians and then some sultan came and made some of them into muslims what ever the case , its Gods own country. Calm and serene. No air pollution like tamilnadu More westernized and still indian is kerala. But whole world came from tamil culture. Kerala is old tamil atleast the way they speak. Srilankan tamil sound like malayalam and not sound like tamil from tamil nadu. Old times people spoke tamil like that Not many know Suck is tamil word. Marsupial. If i have money i will settle in those hill station in kerala where i can see sun and cloud all day.

Welcome to Kochi. There was a better opinion you could have tried. Since you reached Aluva Metro station from Kochi Airport, could have taken metro train till Town Hall Metro station. From there you could take a bus to High court Junction. Just across the road is Kochi Water Metro Highcourt Station and take boat cruise directly to Fortkochi. You save 50% travel time as well as money.
@FrugalTravellersАй бұрын
@@contactnow9866 Oh, we'll have to try that next time, it sounds so much more efficient. 😂 Thank you so much for sharing your local knowledge, we'll definitely keep this in mind for the future! 🙏

Actually not town hall station... Be at MG Road station via metro and walk to Marine Drive ferry... Then take a water metro ride to Fort Kochi
@contactnow9866Ай бұрын
Yes, proximity wise, MG Road Metro station is ideal, however considering the hassle to walk 1.3kilometers (0.81miles) in hot humid sun to High court Water Metro boat station / ferry, you should take the call what best suits you. The bus trip from Town Hall metro station bus stop that's right below the station, would only cost Rs.10. Moreover, there's hardly any bus that goes from MG Road metro station to High court Junction. Other option is auto rickshaw / Tuktuk ride from MG Road station to High court Junction, that I'm afraid if a budget traveller would prefer.

@@wayneleader2364 It was our first time in Kochi but it was fascinating to see how some things had changed in India and how some things had either stayed the same or even deteriorated! We hope you enjoy this India series. There will be at least 2 or maybe 3, more Kochi videos to come as I've decided to go back to making shorter videos so there'll be more of them! Hi Welcome to Kerala🙏🏽 If you’ve plan to visit Alleppey (Alappuzha) take a bus from Thoppumpady (hardly 5km from Fort Kochi) to Alappuzha via Beach Road. There are couple of KSRTC (govt) and private buses are there. It will be a good journey in terms of time, value and good sight seeing. The route is Thoppumpady - Alappuzha via Chellanam and Arthunkal. One again Welcome to our Place✋🏽

Govt should take feedback from this , there should be easier public transport from Aluva to Fortcochi.. either metro or something like a premium bus service.

Thank you so much for your great suggestion. We've discovered from all the kind comments that there are far better options than the way we took, that we didn't find online. We're hoping that these comments help other people who land in Kochi airport, so they don't make the mistake we did 🤗😊
@neerajrhdАй бұрын
Easy way to reach Fort Kochi from Airport other than taxi is getting on to a feeder bus to Aluva Metro Station and getting on to a Metro Train upto Maharaja's College Ground Station in 35 minnutes which will cost ₹120 for two person; and no traffic block. From there get on to an Auto Rikshaw to Ernakulam Boat Jetty (₹30-40, 5 mins ride) From there hop on to Government boat to FortKochi for ₹30 for two person, 20 minutes ride. It is the best option than getting on to a private bus.
@FrugalTravellersАй бұрын
Thanks for the great tip 👍 I wish we'd have known about the metro beforehand. It would have saved us a lot of time. We take the ferry across to Ernakulam and in the next video we will show it. Thanks for watching. 🙏

You could take a metro from Aluva to MG Road. Then walk or take an autorickshaw to Highcourt watermetro station 800 metres away, and from there water metro directly to Fort Cochin. Could've reached much faster. When you are around the area, use the metro, local transport boats and water metro routes as much as you can. The travel is very cheap, fast and comfortable. Airport taxi to Fortkochi would've cost you around 1700 inr. Uber might be less, but still around 1000.

@@DheerajPaleri That's such great advice, and thank you for including the Uber prices. We did some research in advance but didn't find any reference to the metro. Come to north Kerala Kannur & Kasargod , explore the virgin backwaters , lagoons and lakes unspoiled by tourism. Come to South Aleppy the Venice of the east ; Come to Kollam where you will see beaches rivalling Copacabana or Bondi or Miami !!! Come to Thrissur in April and witness the spectacle made for the Gods in God’s Own Country, the Thrissur Pooram , caparisoned elephants in their supreme glory accompanied by the symphony of musicians ! Come again in September for the Onam Festival and Tiger carnival of Thrissur! Come to Palakkad and experience the pristine villages of Palakkad .

Hey...dont know if its a old video or not, but there a better ways to reach Fort Kochi than this. You could have taken the metro from Aluva, get down at M G Road, walked a bit to High Court Water metro station and taken a water metro/ferry to Fort Kochi. Or there are normal ferries from Menaka boat jetty, which is close to Ernamkulam South metro station.
