You have helped me so much. Even in 1.0.5., I managed to get this launcher into orbit successfully despite needing to relaunch about a dozen times due to atmospheric instability for the first 10km. Clicking on part 2 right now. +sub

Glad you found this useful, and don't worry about flipping out even I am still having that problem, maybe I need to alter my designs ;)
@SoDopeStavi8 жыл бұрын
+Orb8Ter Yeah, the whole series was very informative. I managed to get solar arrays, crew cabins, even the refueler up into orbit and attatched to the station. Granted, MechJeb helped immensely. But now, for some odd reason, I'm having issues getting bigger modules up into orbit. Perhaps you could do a small series on good ship designs for 1.0.5? In any case, great content, bud.

@ dude this was four years ago, don you have anything better to do. Yes he did make it look easy, most people who play this game have trouble with the learning curve, because it takes a long time to learn, and back then with me specifically, it looked easy, because of how difficult it was for me at the time. Also, people can try whatever they want in their game to learn or have fun, stop gate keeping.

Just a tip if you want to have your station always viewing Kerbin. Turn on SAS and set it to stay pointed at Radial In (basically pointed at Kerbin). That's what I do for my scanning satellites, so it might work for a station. Be careful of time warping, though. SAS only works outside of warp. If you have SAS on while coming out of warp, it might cause the station to tear itself apart from the sudden movement.

Btw. Just a little tip for liftoff. Go straight up aruond 10km before starting to turn, because there is less drag to slow you down. Also going full throttle the whole time doesn't give you the best consumption/range ratio. I'm not sure what's the best throttle %, but you can test straight up 100% vs 70% and the 70% will go further. Atleast when I have tested it in a straight upward line
@Orb8Ter9 жыл бұрын
Yes this used to be for the older versions of due to the soupy aerodynamics though I haven't done any testing than follow basic gravity turn by Scott Manley, as for thrust the most efficient used to be at terminal velocity but this is hard to work out as this is different for each rocket design. At some point I should experiment to find the most efficient or a standardised launch method for speeds at different altitudes, gravity turn ratio and turn start heights and also builds as this also seems as important in the latest updates, but thanks will test against ny current method and see what we get (may use mechjeb accent guidance to eliminate human errors from test)

+Luc J (Undeadhuman2002) Awesome I havent done a geostationary orbit since I was testing the Remotetech mod, I would love there to be more use to these kinds of orbits for example if there was weather you would have to send up a weather satellite that will tell you the weather conditions for up coming launches
@brassyboi9 жыл бұрын
+Orb8Ter I don't know the would make launching and landing very intricate since you wouldn't the weather patterns when you are starting without a weather satellite. You have a lot of factors to factor in when launching land migt be easier wind, temperature, incoming storms or any other things like that and probably more to list but It can be a good mod if you want the game to be slightly more challenging.

+crangos I was referring to all times when you leave the station the game won't calculate rotation which is a shame there needs to be a mod but that would add more for the game to do when you have loads of craft flying around.

+BstrikeG Ok there is probably a slight design flaw, I had a problem when the rocket was flipping out during launch and it was due to drag when the rocket is traveling through the atmosphere when your not traveling straight the air will hit the side and cause it to flip or if there is too much weight on top of the rocket and the fuel at the bottom of the rocket is used up and like balancing a pencil you have to balance the rocket the explosion happens when parts fail due to the force, the only advice I can give at the moment is turn slowly and start teh gravity turn at launch and if your speed is increasing fast try reducing the thrust. And dont worry every KSP player has these problems at the begining but that is the point of the game fail and try again even NASA had these problems. P.S. sorry for late repley.

Orb8Ter ok, i don't know why, but i just restarted my computer, because i updated some things, and when i build it again exactly the same way as before, it worked. Don't know why.

why*
@Orb8Ter8 жыл бұрын
+Skyler McCloud I've had this problem before I am not sure what caused it, if you still have this problem use F5 to quick save before clicking warp to maneuver you can then use F9 to quick load and manually time warp, sorry don't know how to fix that problem

yea thx it stopped

Cool stuff. But why didn't you use the cool solar panels?
@Orb8Ter8 жыл бұрын
+Bluemage6 I add the cool solar panels in the second part of the space station tutorial ;)
@aqilaalubis8 жыл бұрын
+Orb8Ter Yup, just watched it. You are a smart guy, my friend. I wish I had KSP.

how to make a perfect manevourer and what direction i follow to build like that manevourer after lunch please
@andrewshrimp26088 жыл бұрын
its slow enough i can follow along its great
@Orb8Ter8 жыл бұрын
+Lined Up Gaming Thanks I tried to keep it simple and easy enough to follow I hated tutorials that skipped some stuff because they thought it was irrelevant

What mod did you use to get into orbit
@Orb8Ter8 жыл бұрын
+russellthedude I didn't use a mod for this launch but I sometimes use mechjeb mod which gives you a good autopilot for all you space manouver needs ;D
