The coal for hard woods would be for an onsite power plant, lots of large factory's at this time made their own electricity as the local grid was not up to the task or didn't exist in the first place.

A tip for waiting: I had the thought after waiting an hour several times for passengers and getting more than I can carry, that if I switch to fast time I can fill the car up in under an hour. Switching back once full. I'm running more full passenger trains. Right now I still have a lot of down time, but playing solo like you are time will become ever more critical. It might have only taken 15 or 30 minutes in game to empty that log car.

Great work on the play through. I know people have varying opinions, but I think you do a good job balancing showing the essential aspects of the game and cutting the more redundant/mundane (if there is such a thing) parts. Also, the lumber mills would still be using steam to power their saws and belts, etc. Coal would be used to make the steam. Correct me if I’m wrong.

A logging mikado with tender should be an all around good freight locomotive that should do well even in late game.

The thing I like about this one is that it somehow conveys actually traveling a distance pretty well. Maybe it’s how they have the stations or something, I’m not sure why. But it just feels like you have actually gotten somewhere when you move. It would be cool to see a telegraph element added.
@Thej611 Жыл бұрын
Just a heads up, once you get the bridge repair at Bryson done, you’re going to need a MUCH stronger freight locomotive, as the grades are very steep coming out of Bryson

I've been using the money I get for passenger equipment. I bought the 80 seat steel coach and the observation car. Passenger pays dividends now and I've been able to avoid loans. Also, Captive Service cars can be damaged without impacting your reputation.

liking the industry side to this game, i hope they add more life into the surrounding scenery though, cars, people, animals (as long as does not affect frame rates too much) because there is nothing worse than feeling like your the only one doing something ;-)

There is more scenery planned during early access, but I'm not sure about moving things like cars, people, or animals.

I know, anyone can play as you like, but for my tasting, the fly shunt at ela wasnt really neccesar. You could have got the Ela inbounds to Bryson and then do the Ela on the returntrip to Whittier. Nevertheless I really do like your play through. you keep it calm and do your thing. Please keep up the Railroader series. There is so much to come. Maybe sometime you could play some multiplayer?

I know this is 3 months late, but for the 10 wheeler with it having a small tender... It would make a good "yard dog" to push cars around or keep it for the log runs only.

the thing bout debt is that if you`re making more money with the equipment you buy after taking it then it worths getting the debt, I get some to buy some passenger cars and 2 locos right in the beginning and already paid off because you can accumulate passengers at the stations and only run them when they`re full, also that observation car bonus is pretty good

Im a little bit confused. The Sawmill wants or consumes at T3 15 cars/day but Connelly Creek only produces 12 cars/day combined (L1 L2 L3 ). So its not really possible to 100% the sawmill. Also - why is Connelly L1 L2 L3 combined? :D I thought they are seperate. But with the latest update you can see they are connected.
@Lemonaitor Жыл бұрын
I thought it's 12 per track, for a total of 36? As I've not had an issue supplying tier 3 saw mill with just 16 cars a day from connelly
@MrPupsi Жыл бұрын
@@Lemonaitor Yea i thought that too, but Connelly now shows on all tracks the same amount after i pull out 8 cars (which is like 3-4 logs left or so). Maybe the production that is display is just wrong? Its weird.
