Sound Clips of my 340i with Kelford Cams: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3vVlZWZZbOUf5Y Forgot to mention that the smallest adapter on the valve spring compressor is slightly too big for the stock intake side retainer. I put tape on the lip to make up the space, or you may be able to use one of the exhaust retainers as a spacer to make it work. The Kelford retainers fit it perfectly.

While I sincerely appreciate the depth and detail of these videos on the cam upgrade, this is completely solidified the fact that I will NOT be DIYing this. LOL. We all appreciate your sacrifice

This is insane. Amazing documentation.

10:00 if you would have a helper to keep it pushed down then you could put that retaining clip with your hands… !?

what i wish I had was a tool that just clamped down without needing to be held. like something that screwed down and applied static pressure to keep the compressed spring in place. but it still takes patience to line up the keeper

Can you just do the springs without a cam to increase RPM?

had a quick question- have an auto 440 with MHD stage 2+ tune (sports cat and HPFP). I've noticed than when i'm in sports for both engine and gearbox, and let go of the gas, my speed and revs will remain stuck for a second or two before the car starts to engine brake and decelerate. Didnt really notice this before, not sure of its after i updated MHD or if somethings wrong

I think this is normal. Do you mean for a short moment or like the car keeps carrying speed for a while? You can try updating the app and reflashing your tune.

Why not changing the valve guides already?
@kern417 Жыл бұрын

@@kern417 those valve guides can go bad...

Yeah...Most people just are not going to be capable of doing this. For sure mechanics who do stuff like this earn their money.

at this point you're just paying for their patience

Please don't call them 'keepers' They are called collets and if you put grease or a lube on the valve stem the collets will stick to it. Job done.
@kern417 Жыл бұрын
they're called a lot of names including valve keepers, valve locks, etc. and unfortunately my problem was with placement not with it sticking to the valve.
