"Pens en Pootjies Potjie"! Delicious curried sheep tripe & trotters potjie. Meticulously cleaned sheep tripe cooked for hours in a mouth-watering stew made of tomatoes, homemade curry paste, and other ingredients. This is a true South African delicacy.
This Sheep tripe & trotters are meticulously cleaned and soaked to eliminate any unwanted "aromas".
Recipe
Overnight "Marinade" (Eliminates any unwanted odors)
∙ ½ cup salt
∙ 1 cup white vinegar
∙ 1.5kg Cleaned Sheep tripe & trotters
∙ 500g sheep tails
∙ ½ cup brown vinegar
∙ ½ cup peach chutney
∙ 3 Potatoes
∙ 3 Carrots
∙ 900g Canned tomatoes
∙ 3 onions
∙ 1 Red bell pepper
∙ 2L water
Homemade curry paste
∙ 1½ tablespoons cumin seeds
∙ ½ tablespoon fennel seeds
∙ 5 Cardamom pods
∙ 2 Cayenne peppers
∙ 10 Garlic cloves
∙ Fresh ginger ( about 2 tablespoons)
∙ 1 tablespoon coriander
∙ ½ teaspoon cloves
∙ 1 teaspoon cinnamon
∙ 2 tablespoons mild curry powder
∙ 3 tablespoons oil
∙ 1½ tablespoons Turmeric

😍😍O my genade dit lyk heerlik!!😍 😍. Ek sukkel al vir jare om lekker afval te kan kry soos my Ouma en Tannies op die plaas in die Noord Kaap gemaak het maar dis ongehoord hier in Durban waar ek bly en groot geword het. Ons het 2 jaar terug by Muisbosskerm uiteindelik bietjie afval gehad maar dit was baie waterig en nie 'taai' nie. As ek kon afval koop hier in Durban sou ek beslis probeer om julle afval potjie te maak. Dit was 'n regte 'treat' om die video te kyk. Dankie!😊

Die sterte is slim idee. I sit gewoonlik 1 skenkel by my pens en pote. Dan vir pote, doen ek 4 skaap pote, en een vark poot. Daai vark maak BAIE gelatine en kologeen. (Die goed wat maak laat jou lippe plak aan mekaar)
