I will be 78 in October and I have hair exactly like yours Kerry-Lou. Same thin hair with the same type of curls and very similar thin and flat spots in the back. My hair is also the same color and length as I grow it out now. This is the first time in my life, starting at the age of 15, that I have found real solutions that I know will work .Trough my trial and error I know the products recommended will be excellent. Your curly hair video is delightful to watch and the demonstration is clear and simple; the results are beautiful. Finally I will l have a routine that will be perfect as well as very uplifting for me at this point in my life. Huge appreciation from me! Also: You look simply gorgeous with these curls growing out. Outstanding!

Love your hair! I too am a curly girl and frizz is my main concern. My father, who just passed at 98 couldn't help commenting every time he saw me: "Where did you go after you combed your hair today?" Or, "Do you use an egg beater to comb your hair?" It gave me a good laugh every time, but one can't help being self conscious after that! I'm so glad people are accepting their natural curl! I spent years trying to straighten it w/brushes, blow dryers, curling irons....I feel so free now! And with age (65) comes a little more freedom! Thanks Kerry Lou!! You're terrific!

Kathy, what a wonderful memory! I have wavy hair, and a pixie and I used to use a straightener every single day. My Mum, who passed away a few years ago, always used to call me porcupine or said my hair looked like a haystack... one time she even asked me if I stuck my finger in a socket! Sometimes it would bother me, but it's now a wonderful memory that makes me smile. Your comment about your dad reminded me of that.💜 thank you for sharing.

Oh boy I can relate. I suffered soooo much as a child with my out of control curly, frizzy hair. The blower and I were very good friends and humidity was the enemy. Later in life I finally made peace with my curls and I just started using curl products during the summer months and the blow dryer during the fall, winter and springs months. Now that I’ve grown out my grey hair I’ve had to get used to the ‘silver grey’ curly look.

I just found your channel. You hair is just like I want mine to look . I am 76 and have been coloring my hair since I was 17. During 2020 when I couldn’t go to the salon I just let it grow out for about 5 months. My hairdresser is also my Granddaughter so when I mentioned just going naturally gray . She took the red out that one day. She did several conditioning treatments that it didn’t harm my hair at all. A few weeks later she permed my hair . I love it so much. Your great tips for getting volume with clips is just the info I needed .. thank you so much

That's awesome Laura. My hairs thick and curly. I'm trying desperately to find a hairstyle. I let my hair go grey too. For a good year. But, I dyed it a shade lighter than my original shade. Let me tell you, it has lasted and has been amazing. Try it once. The conditioners leave it softer than ever. Even once a year is so uplifting.

thank you for this video! I have short, fine, dry, silver gray, curly hair exactly like yours. I am 63 years old. I am fair and have blue eyes, I was coloring my gray for years! Now I have decided to let it go to its natural color, and it complements my skin and eyes like yourself. When I was younger in high school, curly hair wasn't "in", I would straighten it ( chemically and it ruined it), curl it with large curlers to soften the curl (thinking I was straightening it), grease it down with VO-5 and brush it down to keep the curls from curling and try to keep it flat. Over time curly hair has been embraced and promoted by women and hair stylists. Thank goodness, I was a very sad teenager trying to hide my curls. Now I let them free. I love my curls and my curls fit me. I have used the small bottle of Aveda that you used, but I never used all their products. I'm going to get them all and try your method on my hair. Thank you so much, its pleasant to see someone that has the same issues as myself and lots of women. You are beautiful, and your curly hair fits you! Enjoy your day!!

LOL...." it's a collectible"! I don't have curly hair, but the idea of using a t-shirt to dry hair is a great idea... Think I'll steal it!💜 I also have a cowlick (same exact place as yours, Kerry-Lou) that, no matter how i style my hair, still shows my scalp. I tried Toppik but didn't like it, so now i just use some eyeshadow same colour as my hair and a fluff brush and brush it onto my scalp to cover up the cowlick. Works like a dream.

I have similar hair: white corkscrew curls in the front and grey loose curls in the back. I’ve been blow drying it straight since blow dryers were invented! I retired before covid and gave up on coloring and trying to keep it straight! (Ahhh!) I appreciate this video and learning what to do with my new curly look which my hair likes, too!!

Yes it sounds like our hair texture is exactly the same! I do so many different things with it, I do keep it curly most of the time but love to blow it out and give it A wet set once in a while!

@@kerrylou3 my son is getting married so I am trying the side sweep you have. I usually have the corkscrew bangs down the front. I’m trying for something a little more “elegant” 🤞🏼

What a lovely video Kerry-Lou! I love your hair videos ... your pixie cut inspired my own but I equally love your curls!! What I also admire is how beautiful your skin looks both on your face and neck...you are very blessed to have such natural beauty. And how funny was the bit with Joe’s The Boss t shirt!! Great video 💕💕💕

Thank you Kerry-Lou. After watching this video I had my hairdresser cut my natural curly hair short today….yikes! 😲. I do like it though! I can’t remember when I had it this short. My hair is a lot lighter than yours, although grey. It was blond in my younger years. I will now try & get the products you recommend in this video. Also thanks for the information where I could find all the Drug Store (Chemist in Australia) makeup for mature age women on your site. I won’t be as beautiful as you but I now have a better knowledge regarding the use of makeup. I’ll be 74 years in March. Many thanks again for the information, much appreciated. 😁 🇦🇺

Thank you! I hope you enjoy your new hairstyle, and have fun discovering new products for your curly shorter hair. I think a lot of people lose sight of the fact that hair should be a frame for the face, and it doesn’t have to be long to be attractive. I have had about three haircuts this year, i’m keeping it kind of jaw length, but it’s surprising how fast it grows. I’m going to do another hair video soon! 😘

@@kerrylou3 it's very liberating! My last cut/color was on 2/7/20. I had super short auburn hair. No curls when it's that short. I have many pics of my journey. It's a great feeling.
