Nurturing Your Gift | Reese Witherspoon on Street You Grew Up On

On this episode of Street You Grew Up On, Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon take a trip out to the countryside of Nashville, Tennessee. We take a look into her charming childhood filled with good food, good music, and lots of adventure. Growing up, Reese was a spirited tomboy with a big imagination and loved to explore out in nature. Her grandmother introduced her to books at an early age which inspired Reese’s lifelong passion for reading. This hobby allowed her mind to travel to different worlds, which in turn sparked her curious mind to see what was out there in the real world beyond her bubble. Her dream as a child was to be Dolly Parton when she grew up, but would eventually catch the acting bug unknowingly passed down from her great uncle generations later.

I loved this episode. It really spoke to me when both of them talked about going home after venturing out into the world and things just weren't the same. That happened to me. I’m dating myself but do you remember The Golden Girls? Specifically, the episode where Sophia takes Dorothy to her apartment where she lived prior to her (Sophia) husband passing away.
