Agreed. Still going to hold out for the Bareknuckle but I think they did a really fine job on these. KVT was a solid move.

The tension on the frame lock on my knife is so high that it is very difficult to close with one hand, hopefully, it will break in. The action of the opening of the knife was less than optimal and when I disassembled it the washers had imprints of the bearings and they were grooved. I love the design and weight of the knife so I am sending off for some phosphorus bronze washers and hopefully that will solve the issue. If not I will return the knife. As for the steel, what can one say...it is a sub $50 knife and I am old enough to remember when 8Cr13Mov was a step up and I don't push my EDC, they are not working tools for my job so I am fine with it.

Thanks for this! Did the knife come right-handed or left, by default from the Kershaw?

@@Gpknives Thanks for that. The last Kershaw knife I got was left-hand attached and I messed up the allen wrench screw heads and could never move it to right-hand :-(

I wish Kershaw would do a sprint run of this knife in a better bladesteel because I am not a big fan of 8Cr13MoV. In today's world of affordable knives at least usually have at least VG-10 or D2 but I can't see a reason to go with 8Cr13MoV.

The Avid Picker they do. It’s called the ZT 0770 or 0777. This is supposed to be the cheaper version of those 2
