I work in the public school system in Illinois and women like Kesha are often put into positions of authority over others. Kesha I’m no teacher and I have no degree but what I do have is common sense, ambition and faith in god! I am quite older than you and want to tell you something! Kids are not being taught things they need to know! Kids are not educated on every day issues that are of so much importance, such as the minimum wage, the cost of living, a simple car purchase! Loan rates , credit score, terms of a loan ,how loans are structured! Kids are not taught compounding interest rates, how to set up a pension plan . Kids are not taught how to get a mortgage on a home or even study the housing market. They’re not taught how to be respectful responsible humble helpful , how to help old people and be just genuinely nice. It is a disgrace, an out-in out appalling disgrace that these young Americans of all colors don’t know how to buy a car a house or prepare for retirement. Or even be courteous . Kids are also not taught the cost of failed relationships ,marriages that fail .There not taught the odds on your success rate if your uneducated devorced and show interests in drugs and alcohol. There taught drugs are bad but it’s a portion of the problem. Throw in no educational skills to warrant a better pay, ruined credit, kids can’t afford to have that stress on their relationship early on in life! It guarantees failure and you as an educator can’t see all that’s missing is what’s sad! I want to share a story , an incident I had in school with a teacher. I was dismissed from class to go out for drivers education. That includes a driving instructor a school provided vehicle an i along with a few students as we approached the vehicle we were instructed to enter the vehicle and put our seat belts on . We did. The instructor entered the vehicle. I was in front with two young ladies in the back. Knowing I was blessed with much common sense and acknowledgment of skills I try to be humble polite and not to intimidate others . Well the instructor went to start the car and I had said mr jones( mr jones for privacy purposes) before we go further the rear tire is very low on air and I’m afraid it’s dangerously low where driving the vehicle could be unsafe. He said ok Mr Henry let me get out and look . He said wow won’t be going it is really bad. So we were rescheduled to drive another day. When time to go out again came, it was the same group. Mr jones checked all the tires this time and we were instructed to enter the vehicle. We all consented. Mr jones got in and went to start the car and I said mr jones , I’m sure the mechanic who put the air in or fixed the tire checks the fluids also , but don’t you think we should check the fluids and maybe show the girls how to as well. Let the girls and other future drivers be taught how many fluids there is to check. He looked at me and with one big breath of frustration said mr henry that’s a great idea. We then popped the hood and he could locate the dipstick, for the oil or the brake fluid. In the back of my mind I was like don’t be a know it all ,compliments do wonders and be helpful. Mr jones thanked me and said you know Mr Henry that will be apart of training for now on . All fluids were fine and fresh , the power steering was a bit low but in workings range. I realized at this time you must think outside the box , not believe everything your taught and to do as much as you can on your own, and that’s my point on that story . Our kids need to learn respect learn what it takes to be responsible, ambitious caring . How to treat people. The football players are so glorified,the curvaceous younger women get all the attention and that lowers self esteem of other students. Everyone has many qualities that haven’t blossomed at those your ages. . It makes other students feel not valued, for the girl’s unattractive, unwanted and ugly. Sorry to be blunt honest. In 100 years they will look back on now and say can you believe in 2023 they didn’t teach kids this , the government controlled the curriculum and focused on a bunch of unimportant issues such as breaking down a paragraph . I also hate to bring this up but integrating races is not easy and i don’t know if it will ever be successful. I understand that African Americans are hurt angry and full of emotions with what happened to there ancestors, so are the native Americans. What we don’t see is that we are all in the same team. All in the same boat . Having the same goals , to love live life have a family and enjoy the holidays the weekends and a happy life. That all would be easier if the kids were taught what is lacking in our educational system as stated above. We chose our direction and we chose our own demise or success. The wealthy people of our country is the 4 percent and to be in that statistical group you need a lifetime of making the right choices. An education, stay clear of drugs alcoholism and manage your credit. I wish in away I could share so much , but there needs to be a home economics class that teaches everything I have just mentioned. Kesha Hamilton is one of the ALL TO FEW courageous Americans to speak the truth. There are brave Americans that have sacrificed their employment speaking of their personal experience. Two that I know of are Colin Kaepernick and Jemele Hill. There are more famous people; that had sacrificed much more than their jobs, in history that ARE remembered like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X. And some not so famous - Fred Hampton, Mariam Makeba, Dennis Banks and Lehman Brightman. I regard Kesha Hamilton among those truly courageous people that are willing to become a target of the murdering, torturing, terrorizing white supremacists. Because of their 1st amendment right to freedom of speech.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, would not support Mrs. Hamilton as it would go against what he actually stood for. He wanted to create a world where both black and white kids could go to school together and become friends and live in peace with no racist opinions of either the children nor the parents. Mrs. Hamilton is literally going against that as she is causing black people to hate white people. And as someone on the school board she is there as an offical rep of all students and not as an individual. She is expected to be unbiased and make decisons based on whats best for all students and not only those who share her race. her comments do not show that she has unbiased opinions so she should not be representing all students. If a white school board member made a comment regardless of context that black people were inherently evil he would be fired in an instant and rightfully so. Why is it different for her?

Disparities exist across the board in every area of life. There's a disparity between whites, blacks, Hispanics, Asians, etc. There's a disparity among genders. A disparity among ages. Among states. Among local areas in that state. Among disabilities. You will not get equal everything because people do not make equal decisions and born the same way. Remind me which demographic burned down half the country and their own communities for a year because a felon overdosed?
