Egg drop soup made with bone broth is one of my favorite egg diet recipes! Super easy to make. Basically 2 cups bone broth brought to a simmer, with 2 beaten eggs stirred in (drizzle eggs slowly) after the bone broth starts simmering. Salt, pepper, garlic powder or other seasoning to taste. It doesn't reheat well so I usually do 1 cup broth and 1 egg because that's about all I can eat in one go. ETA when doing the egg diet I usually add a tablespoon of butter to the bowl, it melts into the hot broth and eggs. And it's super yummy!

I do something similar. Put some bone broth, a little coconut cream and some curry paste into a pot on your stove - bring to a simmer or slow boil. While this is heating, break an egg into coffee mug and whip it with a fork. Then whisk the hot stuff in the pot together and pour it into the coffee mug. Whisk with a fork and it's ready to drink

I do hot buttered broth w/eggs I like them to become 1 w/it so I can drink it as just a rich hot drink. Simmering hot broth is poured into my mason jar (I do 12oz) which has 2-3 eggs (or u can just use 4 yolks) and 2T butter and 1/4tsp s&p in, that I have first stickblended briefly (butter will clump up, that’s fine-unless u use rm temp butter!). Then I stickblend. I temper the eggs first so I don’t have egg drop soup lol Add just about 1/2c broth the first time then quickly blend, then add rest and quickly blend. I sit and drink like it’s a coffee and get so warm & full. I love it. It keeps me 6 hrs too!

A little behind the science regarding fiber, constipation, cholesterol, and bio-availability. For example, the body absorbs most of the egg, so the need for bowel movements are much less frequent. This is not constipation. I've been carnivore for a year and have finally got the nutrients i needed, without the toxicity of plants. I lost 40 pounds, 14% body fat, cured a myriad of auto immune problems like rheumatoid arthritis etc., fixed my leaky gut, and have the energy and strength i did 40 years ago. If this is "extreme", then i'll take it.

Doesn’t everyone realize that the weight you drop in 5 days is water? The human body is around 55 to 60% water. Dropping carbs like this will make you happy on the scale, but it is water. To lose 10 lb. fat , you would have to have a calorie deficeit of 35,000 calories.

An egg fast is easy for someone who has been doing keto or carnivore for at least a few months and is "fat adapted" meaning your body has made the changes needed to digest more fat and function well on ketones instead of glucose. However I think an egg fast is a bad idea for someone used to eating a lot more carbs than fat. Keto flu will hit fast and hard.

I have been on the ketogenic way of eating (not a diet) for 4 years, have lost 100 lbs which has been maintained for 2 years now. I am 66, I just did a 7 day egg fast, which I showed what I ate on video on my channel. The only exercise was bowling 3 leagues per week, I lost 5.8 lbs, ketones got to 5.4 after the 7 days. Never tired of eggs, loved it. Not the first one I have done! The only thing I found is not getting enough protein in any given day.

I totally agree with you. I've done what you said and I've also done the egg results. I got the same result. Its not even hard to get into good shape. Just dont eat any fake processed foods, no sodas, no sugars (unless its a little real fruit), etc. I dont eat sugar. I eat what you just said. I eat it all the time and I'm shredded.

10 pounds in 3days???? that's a deficit of 35000 calories over 3 days, how does that work? If I ate nothing for 3 days that's a calorie deficit of 9000 calories. To set up a calorie deficit of 35000 I would need to eat nothing for 3 days and go running for about 37 hours.

@@Se7enthWard Thanks for that, that is really helpful. I guess if you are doing a boxing weigh in (or similar) losing water weight would be helpful. The title suggest it will break a weight loss plateau. Losing a ton of water weight is great to move the scale temporarily but in the grand scheme of sustained weight loss its pointless and unhealthy.

Just something to be aware of for people that are thinking about giving it a go, its not a magic bullet, it’s a lot of planning and work and yes the first pounds are not fat loss at all

Yes you do lose fat. I was losing 2% body fat per week just water fasting before. Also I wasnt losing muscle. My weight scale shows all of those percentages and everything. I’m confused by this advice. If you go by given rules, eating 12 eggs w cheese n butter would be over 3300 calories, this doesn’t seem like a calorie deficit for most ppl. Even if you eat half that w 6 eggs, it’s not that low-cal for women, and it also becomes too low protein for most muscle-sparing goals. Also, if you’re already keto or carnivore, what difference in impact would this have? 5:37

Calories is not a good metric to judge your daily food intake on. Some people actually lose weight when they eat more. I guess this is the principle here.

@@NiceLoki Right... I'm aware calories aren't everything, but they do have impact, especially for people who have metabolic dysfunction or a history of it. Sometimes it's helpful to increase calories, sometimes decrease, and macros make a difference too, all this can be so even for the same person at different times. But, the video specifically states that this keto egg fast creates a calorie deficit and implies that both the keto aspect and calorie deficit are what would result in an extreme weight loss in a short period of time. And as I said in my original comment, 3300 calories is not a calorie deficit for most people, and even half that is not a caloric deficit for many women. Maybe a bump up in calories would benefit some people, but that's not what the video is saying. That's why I'm saying I'm confused on the logic offered here. And I'm interested if this would have an impact on people who already eat keto or carnivore, or if such a big and quick impact would only apply to those making a bigger change like coming from high-inflammatory or low-fat diet. I use some Mortons lite salt on my eggs. Its got some salt cut out and they add in potassium and other electrolytes. I don't understand this "egg fast" name cause it's just a keto feeding program focused on eggs cheese and healthy dietary fats. So it's just a restricted keto program? I smell a theme cooked up to make a reason to make a video.

Not a good idea to use Potassium salt instead of Salt.,( Sodium ) .So many great doctors, say that salt is necessary, and is good , why restrict it? That is like we were told that animal fats are bad, that we have to eat all low fat( milk , cheese, cream,,etc) Was a fad. , but it is important what kind of salt we eat. I prefer Pink Himalayan Salt, and Celtic Salt.

Fascinating. I'm strictly real food, low carb and pretty shredded - usually below 10% body fat, 4% visceral but after a summer of traveling this has crept up to 12% & 5%, so I'm looking for that deliberate, short-term kickstart. My normal kcal goal is 1531kcal - I'm guessing here the calculation I need to make is how many eggs & butter can I get in to stay under my daily kcal goal. Which to me sounds like 7 eggs (72 kcal each), 7 tbsp butter (102 kcal each) & 3oz cheese (104 kcal each) - does that sound correct? Seems like the diet is pulling in many more kcal from fat sources than eggs...and I'd happily eat more eggs if i could...

Rapid weight loss programs are complete garbage. It is physiologically impossible to lose more than 2 lbs. of body fat in a week with optimal levels of diet, exercise and rest. A more reasonable expectation is 3/4 to 1 1/2 lbs. So if you're inducing your body to lose 10 lbs. in a week, what are you really losing? Lots of water, very little fat and some muscle which is exactly what you don't want to do. You're programming your body to become a more efficient fat PRODUCER in the long run. Real stupid idea but I guess it makes for good video content for the ignorant viewers.
