Keto baked sweet treats. The no bake protein bites I make don’t affect my weight loss, even though there’s almond & coconut flours in them. And... cheese & hwc! OTHER THAN... pecorino. This is the only one that doesn’t seem to affect my weight loss. Maybe because it’s made with sheep milk? I use Silk half n half or Silk hwc. Whole dry roasted nuts...everyday. Nut butters? Not so much, even though I buy the ones that say all natural, no sugar or I make it myself? Something abt the processing of the nut. 😂

Michelle, it’s more like her perspective than information. I like how she tells what she has done and then throws the choice to others. No diet, lifestyle is going to be an easy instantaneous fix. It is process and work. There are exchanges one needs to do for the choices we make. We want a “keto” coffee in the morning then that affects our choices later in the day. I am losing more slowly than others but I am happy, satiated, and feeling better than I have for years.

The worst misconception you can have about keto is that you should consume high (very high) fat and that calories don't count. You did incorporate the sweets and baked good. You are currently saying you still binge on nut butters. In my mind I think is it possible that doing all of those things was what made it sustainable. It could be that if you limited or deprived yourself of those to early. You would not have continued. I went from 230 lbs to 145. And some weeks I want nothing but protein other weeks I want high fat. I don’t eat dessert every day but if I want one I always allowed myself a Keto treat. which makes my lifestyle sustainable. The best way to take advantage of a keto diet is to follow what she said, so that you can remain in ketosis; I know “thank you CPT Obvious.” I guess I just want to point out that even if you are eat keto and keto friendly foods at a deficit you can still stall a weight loss program by kicking yourself out of ketosis. When Ally talks about her slip ups by binge eating the nut butters, keto sweets, cheese, low sugar desserts she is also admitting that she more then likely kicked herself out of ketosis for a couple of days. So now it could take up to a week (depending on how many carbs you over ate) before your body will naturally/easily turn to it’s fat stores for energy and return to weight loss. During that time you could experience strong cravings to eat carbs or to snake more often. Thanks again Ally!

💓Wow, fuchsia is your color, Ally! Excellent video and advice! My challenges are heavy cream and pork rinds. I can’t drink my morning coffee and collagen without quite a bit of heavy cream. Plus, most heavy cream has 1 carb per tablespoon so I have to really be careful to find brands that are zero carbs or heavy cream can not only impact fat and calories, but it can decimate carb goals too!😱 Currently, I cannot find good pork rinds in New Orleans for some crazy reason 🤷🏼♀️, but I love the high quality spicy ones for crunch. Good thing is you can have several in a serving, just need to measure so don’t go over. I measure any type of nut and try to stick to macadamia or pecan because of both being lower carb. Also, I pretty much stay away from keto chocolate and any type of pure nut butter. I think they trigger cravings for me. Eating only OMAD-1 meal a day really helps me be accountable. I know I have that 1 hour to eat and I’m done so I don’t even think about snacking. Plus, I get all my macros in that 1 meal and I’m very satisfied and NEVER hungry! I have to make myself eat many days because I’m just not hungry.

I'm doing a keto reset and avoiding ALL chocolate and sweet tasting things. Also discovered I'm a little allergic to pecans. Soooo. This Georgia girl has to give them up. I'm more along the line of Ketovore and losing the bloating from bad food decisions during the holidays.

You’re inspirational. Love your videos. I hadn’t thought about fatty meat being high calories; pecans and cheese are my culprits. I especially love Moon Cheese as a snack. Now I have to portion it out so I don’t eat the whole bag. I’m stuck trying to loose 20-25lbs. This advice will keep me focused. Thank you! BTW, you look so pretty in pink.

I’m like you...I need that feeling of fullness to be satisfied and stop eating. I could eat a fat-laden meal with 1,000 calories but would still be hungry and looking for more to eat because the volume is too small. I’ve been struggling with keto since October because I’ve never gotten that loss of appetite that so many people get on keto even staying under 20 grams of carbs per day! Lately I’ve started eating leaner meats, less butter and more veggies and I’m more satisfied and finally have broken through a 3-month weight loss stall. I have also had to ban cheese and peanut butter from my house because I can’t control how much of them I eat. I can eat a pound of extra sharp cheddar in one sitting without even realizing I’m doing it. I go into a trance and before I know it it’s all gone. It’s only 16 carbs or fewer depending on the brand, but way too many calories. I tried MCT oil back when bulletproof coffee was all the rage. They really should warn you that you can’t get more than 20 feet away from your bathroom after you drink it. 😢 And it’s way too many calories! I know a lot of people drink it instead of breakfast, but that brings us back to the volume issue. I don’t feel like I’ve eaten without volume and chewing despite the calories I’ve ingested.

If you're going to indulge (moderation), consume after your meal, and make it a 1.5 total meals/day.

Ally, I bought some of the keto bars they all had and after taste. They also were very expensive so I stopped buying them.
