Maybe psylium seed husk powder, whey protein, oat fiber, or ground flax would sub for the egg white protein powder?
@CookwithMel1 Жыл бұрын
@noeldeal8087 the thing is whey protein powder turns the bread dark and we don't get as high a rise. For me that was a little disappointing. Flaxseed meal, chia flour, psyllium husk powder are all more absorbent powders and so they help dry out a bread while baking. But they don't quite do what egg protein powder does. Thanks for asking...I'm sure it will help others 😊😊😊

As for the keto flour, if its got psylliam or oats fiber its better i avoid because i and my dr suspect on top of my hoshimotos i may habe ibs so loads of fiber i dont tokerate well at all. In fact ive had to nix leafy greens and cruciferous veg ovef it already . I dont have issues with almond ir coconut flour, but havent gooten making bread with that right yet, tjougb do have some recipes for keto treats i use tgem for. These issues combined, plys my experimenting with a lot of keto bread recipes has me testing carnivore breads and at present those are the best ive foubd for normalish bread so far. Though i do have a 2 ingredient brwad recipe that uses egg whites and flax seeds that i feel is a good sub for whole grain bread with bits of seeds in it. Im at this point down to 3 recipes that come even close to normal bread, but 2 of them have some minor issues one im goibg to try a minor tweak to by lowering the amount of yougurt a bit and subbing the gouda or mozzereka for blended cottage cheese to see if it gets it to be less moist. Three ingredient carnivore bread that used egg whites and was tge closest i got to regukar sandwhich sliced bread, ended up making 4 slices total. But yeah, im willing to mostly try anything until i find a recipe that i really like. At least most ive trued has not been memory foam texture and more breadlike, even if a bit off or eggy tasting at times.

It's been 2 hours since I made it. Since I made it with peanut butter, I don't like the taste. The taste of peanuts is too strong for me. I LOVE the texture!!!! I will try with another butter, perhaps it will not have such a strong taste. I only used the egg white, not the whole egg. Maybe this is also the reason. Greetings from Latvia

Hello, thanks 😊 The reason is the nut butter not the egg whites. I wish you could try the macadamia butter 😋😋😋😋

The darker bread is made with Monk fruit and the lighter bread is with allulose? I got myself confused 😅
