That's good strength for 59yo but pay attention to your clean technique. The kettlebell slams on your forearm. To avoid that dont swing the kb forward but swing it on the side (try to look some kb cleans technique videos, you will improve your performance) 😊

Incredibly impressive and inspiring. I think you'll find things easier if you keep the Kettlebell closer to your centre of mass. You're catching it very far to your side, same with your snatches actually. Be less strain on your shoulders and more efficient if you rack it close in.

Tom you are right ... this particular video was at the end of a hard workout and form suffered with heavier load. But also consider I am tall & skinny so the physics are different than a person 5'9" 180

As far as the Snatch Form... that is just how my slender Frame manipulates the Kettlebell ballisticly to optimize power. My shoulders are resilient enough to do 45-50 Turkish Getups in 30 minutes with 60lbs @ age 58 last year. After doing KBs for 10 years now I know SFG & RKC are the go to sources for techique but I say the physics change with extreme body types. If you saw a 7 foot NBA player doing Snatches or heavy swings it would be obvious as each rep covers a longer distance in movement, and their muscular-skeletal structure must adapt accordingly

Outstanding! I've just started my kettlebell journey at the age of 55. I'm nowhere neer this level of weight, but already seeing the impact to the other sports I do. I hope I'll catch up by the time I'm 59! :)

It’s good man. As someone who has used kettlebells religiously for almost 10 years and been at double 32kg level for long spells I can honestly say anyone lifting the 32s are seriously strong and a force to be reckoned with. Forget these idiot steroid heads lifting stupid weights. Double 32s and you are walking around like superman, knitted together like nothing else
@kettlebellken
@kettlebellken 6 ай бұрын
You are so right double 32s are the Real Deal, especially Snatching. Well done if you are still doing them beyond 40yrs old. I was able to handle double 28s in my mid 50s a few years back, now age 61 mostly use double 20kg up to double 24kgs. But its all Relative to where you at as we age. Ivan Denisov is amazing with Double 40s 48s.

I’ve just got back to cleaning and front squatting the 32s (3 x 10) at 50 years of age after a year away from the heavy bells and only being down at double 12s and 16s for running. I’m double swinging the 32s (3x7 level and rising) and in the past I’ve double pressed them for 3x8. I think to be really good with them and get into the complexes you really need to carefully nurture the strength and use the 24s to supplement them on easier days. Double 32s are an advanced weight. I’m trying to build strength to clean double 36 (only ever cleaned them up 3 times) but it’s difficult and may be beyond me now

Thats not a 32 kg kettlebell. I could probably do a clean and jerk with the guy doing the demo but there is no way i'm swinging a 32 kg so easily.

This is 61 years ... have had to drop down about 5lbs to 65lbs for heavy Presses. But can still snatch 75lbs for reps. Obviously not to frequently, most workouts are 44 to 55lbs longevity is more important kzbin.info4RWnyih_u5c?feature=shared
