I love this girl! Just by watching a couple of her videos I’ve been able to learn the sport swing, correct a couple of mistakes and, after that, transitioning to the snatch. If you are new to kettlebell training, take into serious consideration subscribing to her you tube channel to learn all the fundamentals in a safe and easy way. 👏👏👏

Just got myself a 12kg kettlebell last week, and was searching for a mistakes video and wow, this had the best explanation. Thanks a million, I managed to fine tune my swing immediately.

Brilliant video! I so often see people (including personal trainers and well known fitness personalities) do the KB swings in the wrong way. The KB swing looks easy, but there is so much to it. Thanks for posting this.

It is interesting how a seemingly simple exercise as a KB swing is comprised of many components that need to be done correctly. To be successful the practitioner must be mindful of each movement and how each movement 'connects' to the next. Hard to accomplish this in group fitness classes - best taught in personal training with a competent well versed trainer.

I agree with you here. I have a friend who's a PT and she holds classes and her students make all of these mistakes. From standing too wide, to that squat swing thing they do, to simply how they hold the bells. I cringe! And they never go beyond the 8-15lb bells which is probably a good thing because with that form they might just hurt themselves.

This is great, thank you! I don't feel the glut or hamstring engagement. I thought I outgrew my heaviest bell. After watching this, I need to look at my form and hinge later in the movement.

I have a tendency to extend the hips too far at the top, so I'll focus on correcting that. I will also pay attention to "playing chicken" with the bell. I've not thought of it that way, so I'm looking forward to checking my form there. Thanks! And thanks for the entire series. :)

In some Crossfit classes we were told to take kettlebell straight overhead (biceps in line with ears)....or is that just another crossfit thing- great advice in your instruction!
