Also I think I remember reading that being short is kinda useful, while taller people take bigger steps and run faster from what I read they get tired easily because they also have more body weight and I might be wrong on this one but I remember reading that short people are more agile, react faster (even if Xiao is already able to react faster regardless of his height because the reaction for normal humans is more of "jump at the right time" or "avoid bumping into this person" but Xiao can hear things from afar and just have high senses probably for his Adepti blood so his height have nothing with it), have more endurance, can accelerate even faster than someone tall and have more balance. Now that's just a few things but this make a bit more clear why he chose that body height if HoYoVerse actually thought about it.
