We got a new coffee machine! This Keurig claims to make espresso type drinks. From Lattes, to Cappuccinos we bought one to see how good the coffee really is, and how it compares to real espresso.

Using flavored pods adds another dimension to your creations, in addition to vanilla/regular oat/almond whole or 2% milk options. The "shot" is basically 2oz water on the slower "strong" brew setting. I've found that a Cappuccino amount of vanilla almond milk and a strong brewed 6oz pumpkin spice pod tastes pretty good. A 4oz size setting would be ideal IMO. Tip: get the Universal MyKcup and fill it to the max with your fresh ground coffee...then do the shot. Very close to an actual espresso shot. Sometimes I do max French Vanilla grounds in an almond milk Cappuccino. Tasty!

Thank you for this review when you were using the universal cake up did you have to remove anything out of the machine or could you just place it in there and use your own coffee beans because that is what I am definitely interested in please let me know thank you

You don’t have to use the coffee or latte buttons. If you select shot it will turn on the latte light and select the larger ones it will turn on the coffee light.

Maybe using actual espresso pods will help with the taste. I found it helped me a lot.

We actually just recently found some espresso pods! Been meaning to try it in the Keurig. One other thing we did that works well is to just put some espresso blend in one of those reusable pods, the coffee comes out pretty good.

@@ed_angel now that’s a great suggestion. I ordering the reasonable pods tonight. That way I can try many different companies espresso beans. Thank you for that !

I bought one of those adapter type things, where you can put your own coffee in the pod, but it didn’t fit. Which one do I have to get? Can you give me a link?

Thanks for the video. Expresso is made in tiny cups and use dark roast coffee. It is ground very fine. I had a expresso maker years ago. It needs to be really strong to hold up to the milk. Frothing milk in the past it had a lot more foam than the stuff you made from the Keurig. I think I’ll save the money and skip buying one. I can do a lot better with other options .

It depends on the milk. Whole milk froth better than 2% or any of the nut milks. Even oatmeal is not is foamy is whole milk.

@@sistah9541 I made Expresso plus other coffee with a Expresso machine for many years. Did the milk frothing ! I just said that the old fashion way was better to me.

Yes, it's been working good since. Espresso roast seems to be the best so far for taste

Dedicated espresso machines are a ripoff bought by those for whom appearance to guests is important.

My girlfriend got one made by Breville and I think it was almost $800. Yes, I love getting a cup of coffee when I visit her, but I have this machine and it works perfectly. I use café Bustillo espresso pods. They are delicious! It tastes more like Real espresso. I make a shot and I use 4 ounces of milk or 2 ounces of milk, depending on whether or not I’m making a latte or cappuccino.
